'Nonfarm payrolls rose by 315,000 jobs in August, just below the Dow Jones estimate for 318,000.'

Whichever it is it's a lot 'better' than last time so the markets hope for a lower rate rise next time.

US added 315k jobs in August, forecast was 318k. Also unemployment increased to 3.7%, forecast was 3.5%.

As expected the S&P500 looked at 3900 and decided not this time so we have a retrace.
Odds on 3900 will be tested again.

there'll be a fair amount of consolidation in this sector over the coming 24 months..

Already been tipped off for one security being looked at ( i stress, only looking at)., in this sector... but I can't get a long contract from IG as they are at limit... shame, as the security in question, is on it's backside share price wise.

now't to do with AHT btw..

and I'm not tipping it out either, I'll wait until IG can make a mkt.

Interesting times with continuing global uncertainty which looks to continue for some time. I saw the article below today. If it's true it seems a poor way of proceeding.

bracke - ha ha... the number of gigs i'm going to every week, coupled with amount of Ale that is consumed - i could power North Tyneside with enough gas they could sell the excess on..

I'll be looking in, on your posts on a daily bases now i've a position..

plus the timing couldn't be better as we need to organise the 20 year AHT traders weekend for next summer.

Review time

The share price today filled the gap at 4145. The next gap is at 3938.

Possible support at 23.6% fib (4052). If not then the primary down trend line at approx 3825. If both fail previous support at 3713 is the the remaining support prior to a test of the low at 3264.

I suspect how the above plays out will be dependent on the reaction of the S&P500 to 3900. The US Indices like round numbers so a retrace at 3900 is a possibility depending how much fear and gloom there is in the market. A break and continuing drop below 3900 and rescuer will be burning gas this winter like it's going out of fashion.

hope the mkts have been kind to you all over the last year or so.

AHT will probs go up hugely now I've taken my first short on AHT.

Employment data due out stateside on 3rd - not looking good.. hence the short.

think that must be a signal for everyone to buy... ha ha.
