17/10/2024 10:34 | The gap at 6036 would be a good target. AHT DAILY | bracke
15/10/2024 22:52 | Bet their order book for 2026 goes supernova though when the Chinese invade Taiwan | fenners66
15/10/2024 17:50 | Good day disc0 Pure coincidence. Drop probably due to: Profit taking after the recent highs. Plus NASDAQ 100 also hit by biggish falls in Nvidia and AMD. ASML, Europe’s largest tech company and a key supplier of chip-making equipment, surprised investors on Tuesday with weaker-than-expected bookings and a reduced sales forecast for 2025. | bracke
15/10/2024 15:01 | Any ideas why the fall in markets at 3:30pm?, can't see any economic news.Does coincide with Mr b posting but guess that's just coincidence lol. | disc0dave46
15/10/2024 14:30 | Thanks palwing I read that house insurance in Florida is $2500 - $12,500 depending on the house and its exact location. | bracke
15/10/2024 14:05 | I received this from my friend today. "Florida is still dealing with a lot of issues, hardly any gas, lack of some grocery items, flooding is vast, no power still in some areas, some schools still closed. Insurance in Florida is very expensive and the insurance companies don't like paying out. Nightmare honestly."I | palwing32
14/10/2024 14:04 | Think hurricane insurance in Florida is about $2,600 pa. Guess that would be a seperate policy along with normal insurance cover? | disc0dave46
14/10/2024 13:59 | Thanks palwing. | bracke
14/10/2024 13:33 | To be honest bracke, it is not something I have asked. His children have houses nearby too. I will ask him, as it is an interesting question. | palwing32
14/10/2024 11:14 | Good day palwing Does you friend insure his house? From what I read house insurance is very expensive in hurricane and flood areas. | bracke
12/10/2024 17:54 | palwingGood news that your friend was okay. | disc0dave46
12/10/2024 00:25 | A good result then. | fenners66
11/10/2024 21:07 | Florida update. My ex Forces colleague survived hurricane Milton with no damage to his properties. He lives 19 miles north of Tampa Bay and said there was local flooding, trees down plus power and cell phone outages. Apparently, others were not quite so lucky, but overall it was not as bad as they were led to believe. However, it is not quite the end of the hurricane season yet. | palwing32
11/10/2024 08:34 | Good morning Mr b.Yep!Although the spike in jobless claims was, so the economists say, due to the hurricanes and Boeing strike and deemed temporary. So 0.25 cut still likely. | disc0dave46
10/10/2024 17:38 | Good day disc0 Hotter CPI and Hotter Initial Jobless Claims. Which gives a reason not to cut and a reason to cut. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. A cut of 0.25% appears to be the expectation. | bracke
10/10/2024 13:05 | Thanks Mr b.A slightly hotter than forecast CPI and our cousins no likey - thought the opposite as pushes odds up for 0.5% cut, depending as ever on job numbers. But hey wtfdik. | disc0dave46
10/10/2024 12:23 | Again resistance at 5790 asserts itself. Although it has closed above this level, the following day sellers are back in control and it drops down. The gap at 5724 is filled. Support is at 5630. A close for the week below 5630 would leave a weekly candle with a long upper shadow/pin/wick which may be a concern for s/holders. AHT DAILY AHT WEEKLY | bracke
10/10/2024 11:11 | I looked at the share price yesterday and wondered if that was it for now. Recent highs have seen some "market event" and then the share price has dived. Been watching the cricket so not aware if there is a market event today maybe its traders watching cricket as well instead of buying AHT but this seemingly was predictable... | fenners66
09/10/2024 15:02 | Thanks Disco. No news yet, but I should imagine he is a bit busy right now. His wife sheltering in N.C. is extremely worried. I mentioned he was brave. She replied, "No, stupid and stubborn". Fingers crossed for them all. | palwing32
09/10/2024 12:05 | A gap up this morning and then a push to get the share price over the 5790 resistance zone I have been droning on about. So far it has held. Later today we have the FOMC Minutes. AHT DAILY | bracke
09/10/2024 09:21 | palwingHope your friend ends up okay, must be a very frightening and stressful experience. We know it's been financially beneficial to our investment here in the past but still wouldn't want such storms to occur (don't like the fact they also now appear to be including such events in their financial forecasting). | disc0dave46
09/10/2024 09:02 | I caught a bit of the BBC news 24 last night. Ron DeSantis doing an outside press conference somewhere in Florida. In the background a Sunbelt Trailer pulls up and it has at least 3 big wheeled water pumps on it. Great product placement / advertising. | fenners66
08/10/2024 17:51 | It's currently a category 5 (wind 157mph or greater) with a possibility of reducing to a 3 but still winds 111 to 129 mph. I get the impression that most of the houses are not brick built but wood so are very vulnerable. Puts me in mind of the Wizard of Oz. | bracke |
