Have you congratulated them on their exceptional record of creating shareholder value, Biggles?

Might need to eat humble pie here. From what I gave seen the Greatland and Ariana shares held by Starvest will be passed to the SV shareholders but some, possible mainly, AAu may be sold by the auditors to cover expenses. Maybe that was the process we have see today, plus a few others scared because if the selling? Thay may explain the large round numbers? Just a possible explanation ⁹

My lack of contribution is that I'm on holiday. But we know why it's going down , Starvest and preempting that dump however the fundamentals unchanged. Yes I'm furious at the lack of marketing and yes the board has been informed . What good it will do we will see but there is only so much one can take re board decisions regarding marketing and PR etc and I've told them that changes need to be made regarding the board I hope they add it they don't then we will see.

The overall price was quite compelling at the time jbravo coupled to what we thought we were getting on top of it.
Unfortunately the money was not invested wisely and the upside we thought the titan Ozaltin would bring in has been anything but.

And therein lies the problem with AAU.
The current production isn’t enough to see money returning in dividends. It just pays boards wages and does some slow drilling etc. The future projects are a long way off and will need cash or giving away to get into production.
People selling (and it is selling not rollovers hence the price action) are realising this and deciding to get out here rather than lower.
If you’re going to hold you’ll need to hold for a long time.
Sorry to see it, but ultimately it all comes from the poor deals a few years ago.
Wasn’t it $2m they got for all the satellite projects around the mine? Pennies. Ridiculous.

The silence from the board is deafening. With no imminent news to help the SP, this is looking very worrying.

Indeed zangdook, it's down to the level where even I am considering a top up but I can't bring myself to it yet as AAU always disappoint and while ever Kerim and Co aren't jumping to buy at this level then I will hold off.
The thing that has stemmed the fall over recent years is the big holders keep topping up. Maybe that has run it's course now too.

Don`t blame SVE sellers as they haven`t even got the shares yet, which is bad enough without seeing the price sinking daily.

I wish I could see this as a top-up opportunity but it's not a game, eventually I'm going to need to realise cash from my investments to pay for things.

To blame Starvest sellers is wrong in my opinio. They would be odd numbers of shares and unlikely to be hundreds of thousands like I am seeing. No similar drop at Greatland. That would be reassuring. Who knows something that this management isn't sharing. The least I expected to see was an RNS explaining or reassuring. There is indeed something not smelling right here. Anyone want to change their 2024 high and year end?

I would be surprised if anyone was short AAU. The price action is supply and demand and as the slew of "transaction in own shares" RNSs prove every day, there is little demand for shares listed in London

Only to be expected I suppose, the company have laid themselves open for this kind of adventurism.

I hope some form of communication from them arrives in the not too distant future.

SP now resting on the downward trend line started late 2020.

One point of note is that for the seller to profit well from the drop, existing holders have to sell, if they dont there are no shares to buy/cover shorts.

You are right DP, they don't help themselves but more importantly don't help the merry band of big shareholders that (imo) have been far too loyal to them for too long.

I sold out a few weeks ago. I wish you all the best of luck. It has been a tough sector for a few years now and AAU don't help themselves

Sure, I would like more information too but it wouldn't change much given seller(s) just want out?

Wouldn't hurt to do some promotion though Shortarm given the SVE situation. Just remaining silent is not the solution.

I did warn months back - which is why I departed.

Sad really, I had high hopes for this being around 5p by now. Looks as though more like 1.5p.
