09/2/2024 15:01 | WH Ireland reference Caledonia Mining when discussing AAU's new involvement in Zimbabwe. It's a good point of reference for how a gold mining company has managed in a potentially tricky part of the world. | ![]() dixi

09/2/2024 13:09 | Indeed, seems that it is currently too much to expect a decent buy not to be followed by a bigger sell! | ![]() shortarm
09/2/2024 13:02 | Agree Soul There are in my opinion too many projects at too early a stage. Ariana needs to go for some quick wins here. In, add value, out, repeat. Personally I would like to see just a couple of projects in long term development with an view to production. Any others either already in production or there for a flip. I respect KSs talent but he seems like a kid in a toy shop, distracted by something shiny and new, and though it has implied that they will flip projects when have they actually done that? Once with a lithium project years ago before my time (been here 8 years). I am a petrolhead and I see undervalued (imo) classics like first generation Audi TTs, flared wing Caterhams, MGTFs, alloy bodied Jag XK8 and Jaguar S Type R, early Porsche Caymans now they are about to go electric etc. But I know I cant have everything I want! Not sure Ariana has that discipline, its behaving like a big company but its tiny (and the MC is becoming ever more tiny), so it cant fund meaningful progress over its many projects. | ![]() jaynesdad

09/2/2024 12:41 | Dixi that is kind of what I was saying a few weeks ago. With no dividend policy and with the Kiziltepe profit to build Tavsan modus apparently working, even though it may have helped delay, then what is to say they won't use it again. It is a shame we haven't got a project to sell at this current time. Shortarm it to be hope the Rockover samples are being tested at the same place as Salinbas and Hiz or you might be waiting til Q3. | ![]() soulsauce

09/2/2024 10:58 | Quote from latest Asgard update:-...we are in discussions with Rockover Holdings with respect to the company and its assets.-Clearly this is 100% Ariana and nothing to do with Zenit. Ariana will eventually receive payments from Zenit for Tavsan production. Is this where the funds will end up (Rockover)? | ![]() dixi
09/2/2024 10:41 | Maybe Tavsan will be more of the same and not increase the value of the company. No worries though, it pays their wages! :-( | ![]() dixi
09/2/2024 10:21 | Precisely Dixi The market cap is all but unmoved after just about exhausting an entire gold/silver mine. Add in that during the time taken to do that there has been a rise in PoG of 75% and PoS of 50% since production commenced (rough figures)and it's even more depressing. Rewards to long suffering shareholders were 3 special dividends. Many of us have large holdings have been faithful to this company despite some on here critising us because we question rather than being constantly euphoric while the share price sinks lower and lower. Just a moment ago I got a quote of less than 1.9p for 250k.The last significant local high was 4.75p in April 2022 having fallen from 6.5p. Since April 2022 it has fallen a further 60%. 60%! At what point does the critisism of people who question the appalling performance, and gloss/spin of a dire performance portrayed during Ariana presentations, stop?? At the moment I don't doubt Tavsan will produce, I'm even prepared to suspend belief and experience and accept it may be on time (at least the latest version of 'on time'). But will we see much of the resulting net cash flow or will it be poured into snail like advances in the multitude of early stage projects which are a decade or two from production? | ![]() jaynesdad

09/2/2024 09:21 | Quote:-As of the end of 2023, the mine had produced a total of 151,041 ounces of gold (planned circa 100,000 oz gold) and 1,682,265 ounces of silver, recording US$274 million in revenue since operations commenced in early 2017.-Currently the share price is around the same level as when production started. That is very frustrating. | ![]() dixi
09/2/2024 09:15 | Problem is the old issue of adding at bargain prices in the expectation of a decent payout. But the bargain just keeps getting better and the reward becomes less and less. For many it is all but impossible to change the investment as large holdings are hard to realise. This applies to me too. So come on Ariana!! | ![]() dixi
09/2/2024 09:07 | Baffling You're not going to prompt a change in the chairman unless the BOD think its a good idea. You won't force them into it. AIM is littered with companies that are run poorly. It is far easier to change your investment than to try to change the direction of a company. Massive wasted energy. Ultimately the board gave away too much, too cheaply in 2020 and they've been treading water since. The deal back then ensured a treading water approach. Enough to pay some wages, and do some slow exploration to keep the faithful hooked. Et viola! | jbravo2
09/2/2024 08:46 | bb posts could be - facts, informations - positive spin opinions - negative spin opinions if the share price is falling for years ... negative posts are expected to dominate 1 would think and accepted without bitterness and attack as it is only natural for them to dominate. negative opinions could be divided in constructive negativism - there clearly is something going wrong somewhere for 3 + years of falling share price and bashing i do not see lots of bashing on here, if any in fact i see the shareholders /big/ being the most cultured and docile as one can imagine. killing so called negativism /which is a natural MUST occurance/ can not be solved by infights on the BBs but by big shareholders exercising their duty exerciced by influencing BOD on GMs imho. maybe they are not doing it for several reasons - being friendly with bod - wanting to buy even more even cheaper - or some other reason the end lol | ![]() kaos3
09/2/2024 08:30 | am i correct in thinking that at a meeting of the company at a london venue, in the last 2 to 3 years, resolutions were voted on by a show of hands of those present, not a large number of attendees. and was there some comment that because that was done votes submitted through other channels were not going to be considered? | ![]() konil
08/2/2024 22:09 | He has far exceeded what is reasonable for a listed company imo but also it doesn't take much searching on Google to find out what is a reasonable time. | ![]() soulsauce
08/2/2024 22:04 | Well recently there was a totting up of shareholdings here (I admit I didn't participate but I have comfortably more than the median). I have voted twice against the re-election of the Charmain. I don't think he is effective and his shareholding seems to give him a comfortable job for life, executive share options as well as his significant equity participation. Plus arguably good governance would imply that time in the Chairmans role should be a relatively limited one. I think a shake up would be in order. | ![]() jaynesdad
08/2/2024 21:33 | Unfortunately geologists on the whole don't make good CEOs. But I think most of us agree that we have an anaemic unenthusiastic Chairman that needs to be replaced. | ![]() soulsauce |
