Executive Summary
Zimbabwe presents a challenging, and yet potentially rewarding, investment climate. The country’s skilled labor, high literacy rate, mineral wealth, agricultural potential, bountiful wildlife, and natural landscapes present commercial opportunities for U.S. firms. Sectors that currently attract the most investor interest include agriculture (tobacco in particular), mining, energy, and tourism. Authorities estimate the economy grew by four percent in 2022 while the International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimates Zimbabwe’s economy grew by 3.5 percent in 2021.

Agree Charles, however we know they have set things up to have little involvement which comes at the expense of lack of news and glacial performance.

xow it seems to me that the Ariana company is looking to invest in Rockover and is doing due diligence to do so.

I would hope the Asgard investments in high risk locations are for flipping, rather than holding to production.

Wouldn't want to be pouring money into Zimbabwe as assets could be nationalised at the drop of a hat and having a minority holding gives no leverage.

Also concerned that the geology squad are getting pulled off our main assets for these investments.

Rockover Holdings is registered in the Isle of Mann, but all the assets appear to be in Zimbabwe.

Seems that way to me too.

It seems to me that the company needs to perform some kind of balancing act between that which is being developed and that which is being acquired. Too many irons in the fire, so something needs to be sold imho.

Yes free cash flow kaos, that is what I was getting at. I hope you are not hinting at the 'D' word?

exactly soul - hence i started to mention free cash flow production under our control going forward .... we need a projection .... to behave in a professional manner with all what is on aau hands - there will not be enough cash probably ... so what is a plan....

i will not be the one to spell out the choices that are real and not hope

and now i will start to wait with my pounds not for a cheap/er/ shares but for an opportunity to give a helping hand to the aau when it will be needed

This raises a few questions:
As we know for some reason the cash pile has mysteriously dwindled.
I would imagine we will pay for certain aspects of Rockover to production for an ever increasing holding.
So how does that sit with having to pay our interest in Salinbas going forward to production on a pro rata basis. Salinbas/Ardala will need big money to get to production and slated for '25.
Where will this sit us for paying a dividend? Does waiting for Tavsan to be in production turn into waiting for Dokwe to be in production for a dividend?
And of course not to mention our other projects.

Not sure we would want Ozaltin involved if that were the case. We seem to have gone on a go slow since they came along.

Also, weren't we trying to diversify from Turkey? Having Turkish backers doesn't seem to do that i.m.o.

Maybe they will back the project to production for a 25%/50% stake?
Maybe they will involve Proccea to build and Ozaltin to be a guarantor?
All to be told in the future, multi decade mine..?

Xow98 - you do some VERY good research here.
This is in the RNS -
The Company has commenced a due diligence drilling programme on
the asset, while the Company considers further involvement in the project.

So Zimbabwe 🤷‍a94;️

It sounds to me like the company is 'possibly' going to take a chunk of Rockover. How does this then sit with the Asgard investment?

1.3% holding doesn't give you income unless they declare dividends, which is dependent on the majority shareholders.

It remains on the balance sheet as an investment at cost. The "income" will be selling this on at a profit, presumably to the majority holder or on a takeout of the business in its entirety.

250K for 1.3% values the whole lot at less than 20 million? If AAU provide the backup that gets this to production then the income from whatever percentage of 60000 Oz per annum will be significant!

I guess the due diligence and before further discussions means that subject to it being worthwhile there will be some sort of funding and partnerships?

Unfortunately mention Zimbabwe and it puts investors off in my opinion. And understandably, no matter how good. It worries me that the Co. seems to think it is ok to flagship this even though currently with only 1.3% exposed. Am i being unnecessarily conservative?
