I'm in agreement with you there needs to be full disclosure and much more communication and believe me the board have been told that in no uncertain terms. As to whether they take it on board is another issue. However I won't stop pushing for more communication and if that involves EGMs being forced to discuss the issues then so be it but hoping it won't come to that.

What I would like is material reporting - meaning they report sorted by what is important in value/revenue, reserves etc divided by the whole AAU

i am not interested in fringe potential blue sky reporting and complete silence on that what most impacts AAU NPV value

because silence on high impact NPV operations can be interpreted as we have nothing good to report - so we give you crumbs with no NPV importance so your news hunger gets sated

assuming the envelopes are thick enough and fingers crossed they've been given to the 'correct' people i.e. those with most men and biggest guns...

There's political risk everywhere. Even more so nowadays in Western jurisdictions. Permitting hurdles in the US for example are increasingly difficult to navigate. Permitting times in many African jurisdictions are half that of US/Canada - often quicker.

That's my feeling too. Modern corporate governance guidelines means any institution would be forced to vote MDV out and as we have established that AAU is primarily a lifestyle vehicle for MDV that's the last thing they want. No news, stay under the radar, keep issuing cheap options until MDV says he wants to cash in his chips. It is a disgrace but an insight into Stockholm syndrome how some long term holders continue to defend those who have captured them

Sure, but Kosovo and Zimbabwe are among the worst places in EE and Africa for political risk.

True, however most deposits worth finding in 'safe' jurisdictions have likely been found. Eastern Europe and Africa are now firmly on the radar of the major copper/gold players. Zijin, for example, have recently moved into production at Europe's largest copper/gold mine in Serbia

biggles,

I have to disagree with you - Ariana is a public company and as such they are obliged to keep their investors informed of any material changes in the company. To be blunt, they don't do that. Of course you can argue that some of these minor items are not 'material changes' but it happens too often to be a coincidence in my opinion.

Two ways to look at this glass half full or glass half empty. I like positive info so I take it that the companies have ability to raise on back of excellent projects but your always going to get Ill managed dogs like CHF ask excellence.

The lack of investor communication is appalling. Why do we have to dig around on Proactive to find this? Those interviews aren't well publicised. Issue an RNS so everybody knows what is going on.

Zimbabwe via Rockover Resources, a new Asgard investment, no idea of cost

Ariana Resources PLC (AIM:AAU) managing director Kerim Sener said he is “very pleased with the dynamism shown by all of our investee companies” as the company gave an update on its Asgard Metals Fund investments.

“Notably, our investee companies successfully raised additional funds both privately and through the capital markets, totalling circa A$5,500,000, which has been a real achievement and stands as a testament to the quality of the teams and their portfolios,” Sener said in a statement.

"During the year, we made certain additional investments in some of our investee companies and welcome adding two new companies to the portfolio, Rockover Holdings, operating in Zimbabwe through a wholly-owned subsidiary, and Altai Resources, operating in Kazakhstan.”

The portfolio of investments now amounts to around A$1.6 million, he noted, and it also has generated some A$625,000 in agreed consulting payments (paid in cash and shares).

Sener added: “Further investment opportunities across the existing portfolio are being reviewed in addition to certain other select projects currently under investigation.

“We have also commenced the provision of commercial consulting input to junior companies independent of investment, as there is now recognition in the market of the broad range of exploration and development skill sets we are capable of bringing to bear on any project.”

Asgard portfolio

Rockover Holdings Limited: Asgard added a new 1.3% stake in the private African exploration company. Rockover's Dokwe Gold Project in Zimbabwe shows promising feasibility for producing 60,000 ounces of gold annually over 12 years.

Panther Metals Limited: Asgard holds 3.1% in the company focusing on a significant nickel resource in Western Australia. Recent drilling and testwork show high nickel and cobalt extraction rates, Ariana noted.

Annamite Resources: Asgard’s stake increased to 6.3%. The company's Sokdee Project in Laos, exploring a copper-gold-molybdenum system, has shown encouraging results and partnered with Rio Tinto for further exploration.

Pallas Resources: Asgard retains a 6.0% stake. The company has promising gold and copper exploration results in Kazakhstan and has acquired new exploration licenses.

Altai Resources Limited: Asgard took a new 8.4% stake in this subsidiary of Pallas Resources, focusing on a nickel sulphide province in Kazakhstan.

Start up mining companies raising cash, phewww glad I was sat down when I read that :-/
I am not sure that raising cash gives substance to these companies. Chf raised an awful lot of cash in the last 3yrs, enough said.
Not sure what it says if Asgard weren't part of the raisings.

If they think we need to be reassured that their investee companies are not rubbish which no-one else will touch, that's not actually very reassuring.

Yes it's states those companies Asgard is investing in has raised additional funds. I think it's only mentioned to give a perspective on the fact that these companies have some substance. We need updates re the core strategy projects.

Asgard is a bit of a mystery in terms of transactions. They don't update us on GBP invested per investee, nor when they add to those investees.

Yes zangdook but all that does is dilute Asgard unless we were part of the funding.
The drill bit has been spinning for a long time, it's the lack of results that is the issue.
