What I am interested in is what AAU will do with the cash they have from the last three excercise of (6+6+3)share options : they will be able to drill a few holes somewhere for some nice returns I hope (15m @1.55p = £232k)all helps the exploration war chest.

No doubt this will be significant when it comes to permitting etc.
Turkish gold production by the end of 2021 is estimated to surpass the record high level in the history of the Turkish Republic that was made last year, Mehmet Yılmaz, president of the Turkish Gold Miners Association, told Anadolu Agency on March 23.

Production in 2020 peaked at 42 tonnes but is estimated to reach a volume of 45 tonnes at least by the year-end, Yılmaz said.

"We will achieve our goals with the support of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and by complying with the legislation. Recently, an objective has been set for the sector to produce 100 tonnes of gold in 5 years, and the industry will make every effort to achieve this goal," he said.

With imports of about $25 billion in gold last year, Yılmaz is seeking incentives for mineral exploration in Turkey to boost the number of operational mining sites to reduce imports.

If Turkey can produce gold on its land, the monetary equivalent in imports will remain in the country's economy. Local production could also offer more employment opportunities in the sector to boost employment from the current 13,000 to 20,000, he said.
In line with this, our target is to increase the output to at least 45 tonnes by the end of 2021 and to create added value by ramping up production as much as possible. Hence, we intend to meet our objectives of producing 100 tonnes in the next 5 years if we get permission from the public for about 20 projects waiting in line," Yılmaz added.

Yılmaz commended Turkey’s gold mining industry, which produces gold at a quality that he says exceeds global standards and with sustainability and safety at the heart of its production process using a highly-skilled workforce.

He advocated for prioritizing public and environmental concerns in the further development of this sector in Turkey. To this end, he said that re-greening the area would be an important element after the completion of operations.

"The most important thing here is that we should assume an analytical environmentalist approach. We will both secure the environment and bring resources into our economy," Yılmaz concluded.

Dumping a shed load of shares on the market? He sold 600 to realize 3m which everyone knew about . KS sold I believe off market to not affect share price There will never be a right time to crystallize warrants but what you have to remember with the upcoming news they can only do it at certain times,

P.S. in the last six months CEY has gone from over 200p to the current 104p.Is that the point you were making?

Precisely. By all means he can exercise his 1.55p option(who wouldn't) but do not dump a shedload of shares on the market at such a sensitive time to achieve it.Nothing like leading from the front.

Have a look on LSE at the directors buys on AAU vs say ATYM.....But at least you've managed to find something to moan about other than the price going up :-D

For those who think a director exercising options at around 30% of the current share price and simultaneously dumping a huge pile of shares on the market is the same thing as a "director purchase", here is an example of a real director purchase:

Putting up nearly £150k to buy shares in the market at the full market price, that is a director purchase. What Michael de Villiers did yesterday was a director sale combined with an exercise of options. 'Sale' is the opposite of 'purchase'.

Come on guys, its Friday! lighten up, look, all PM's have taken a hit over the last quarter, 6 months, its the sector, the sentiment, etc. etc. a correction that was predicted and fairly obvious, some stayed, some hedged, some got out all together, but what is guaranteed, is they will all back as this rebounds, the bigger the pull back the bigger the rise will be, PM's will break records, the writing is on the wall, what is not certain is the time frame in which this will happen, For all in AAU it should be irrelevant, we have a huge amount going on, fully funded profitable producer, with no pressing cash concerns, and massive de-risked potential. It is only time that is your enemy here, not each other. I've got plenty of time for both. GLA have a chilled weekend, nothing happening here for a couple of weeks, so relax, buy on the coming dip and enjoy.
