09/4/2021 12:35 | thanksamill, that probably was the narrative but now things look different. they have lots of money in the bank (after one-off payout) for exploratory work, and new partner funding $8m to progress salinbas and gp is such that significant profits can be booked on kizil production, so sensible regular divi can be paid and still allow for ongoing operational expenses and reserves to be built up, so hopefully they will reconsider. anyway first things first, lets see the one-off divi please! | konil
09/4/2021 12:26 | The mood music in earlier discussions re divis indicated a pause of a couple of years before regular divi could be considered. That's the way I read it anyway. | thanksamillion
09/4/2021 12:02 | this one-off dividend thing has taken a long time and we dont yet have clarity on timing of payout. nonetheless, it would be nice to hear something about plans for instating a regular dividend. i assume that once all the hoops for the one-off dividend have been gone through then further divivdends can be paid out without the same pain, so they could fairly quickly put a regular dividend in place, perhaps even commencing with the 2021 interims. a 3% to 5% yield (at current prices) should be very doable, perhaps even conservative, and would put aau on the map for income funds and pis looking for income plays with growth potential. it would give the share price a kick upwards. all this based on kizil income, so tavsan coming on stream (late 2022 or 2023) will build on that. | konil
09/4/2021 11:49 | Thanks for the tip I best put my life saving in! Who actually falls for that stuff....Come on AAU get some news out time to start making waves my portfolio is bored | lottsgold

09/4/2021 11:28 | Hargreaves Lansdown have not done bed and ISAs for over a year, it's a total pain not being able to do that and having to sell and buy as separate transactions. | paul280i
09/4/2021 10:05 | That seems expensive bed isa transaction! 4%?? | bigglesbingham
08/4/2021 20:14 | Plas - I think the bod has to be careful not to frighten people away with their long awaited dividends and in order to do this they need to incentivise reinvestment by letting out some very good news or very good prospects at the same time as the divi news imho. Shouldn't have long to wait now... | charles clore
08/4/2021 19:00 | Indeed it would ROYAL. | soulsauce
08/4/2021 18:03 | SS that would be CMRS I presume. | royalalbert
08/4/2021 17:59 | Yes lots to come Plasybryn. I am looking forward to more RR drilling results. But I see another company has tossed it's hat into the Cyprus copper arena and currently valued at £6m. I still suggest that being the only company that has a resource there, there is nothing in our valuation for Cyprus. | soulsauce
08/4/2021 17:41 | Are we coming out of hibernation? I see blue. Pent up news ready to roll very soon, perhaps starting next week. Tavsan E.I.A. over due. Special pay-out news/details must be close. Will that be transformational? With gold & silver rising, dare I suggest a perfect storm is finally brewing? | plasybryn
08/4/2021 17:29 | I've found that it can sometimes be cheaper to buy in 2 smaller lots. | paul280i
08/4/2021 16:17 | When you buy more it costs more above a certain level. Always been this way. You effectively have to negotiate to get more. The bid offer is for certain parameters of sale and buy price linked to amounts | bigglesbingham
08/4/2021 16:00 | 429k at 4.65 yet offer only 4.6? | thanksamillion
08/4/2021 14:06 | Gold trying to push on, hopefully it's sustained and some excitement returns to us unloved but very rich junior miners! | lottsgold
08/4/2021 09:56 | LOL, indeed. | soulsauce
08/4/2021 09:20 | Can someone tell me when this much vaulted dividend is going to be paid after all the money is in Ariana bank account waiting for news I hope it is at least 50p a share after all they have sold half the business even though going forward the business should be twice the size given the improvements going on at no expense to Ariana if they dangle the date I'm sure it would create some good share action | tnt99
08/4/2021 09:20 | 'Many people are content to stay out of the workforce, collecting generous government handouts' lol, open to correction, but isnt US benefit about $300pw and lasts for a couple of months only? $300 probably doesnt even cover the coke habit of the dude who wrote that. | actonovator
08/4/2021 09:05 | Resarch note Let's hope they are correct on the future price of gold! We expect a catalyst to emerge in the second half of the year that could drive gold higher. The most likely catalyst would be excessive inflationary expectations. Inflation expectations have returned to pre-pandemic norms, although a number of developments listed here suggest it could spiral out of control: • US$1.9 trillion of additional fiscal stimulus is likely to be introduced on top of previous government spending, some of which has yet to be utilised; • The US Federal Reserve (Fed) continues to buy US$120 billion worth of Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities each month; • Lumber, oil, copper, food staples and other commodities prices have been on the rise, many reaching multi-year highs; • Shortages of semiconductors, shipping containers and truck drivers have been documented; • Many people are content to stay out of the workforce, collecting generous government handouts; • Purchasing power of American families has reached record highs. Further into 2022, once the trillions of stimulus dollars have been spent, other systemic risk catalysts could emerge, such as a weakening economy, debt problems, US dollar weakness and/or black swan events caused by radical fiscal and monetary policies. We believe the long-term bull market remains intact and expect prices to ultimately surpass US$3,000 per ounce. We also note that gold miners remain cheap relative to the price of gold. It is worth noting that since mid-2020 it appears that Bitcoin has replaced gold as the new gold. But as cryptos have continued to soar, US real rates have now undermined gold value. To remain long Bitcoin would require a belief that real rates are going to retreat. | julianc35
