25/3/2021 12:18 | The markets are a bloodbath of late, must be near a bottom...famous last words! | lottsgold
25/3/2021 11:47 | Have you perhaps noticed the mining market in general today and recently?#itissonotf | shortarm
25/3/2021 11:44 | konil, The dividend is an irrelevancy. The share price has fallen around 30% in the past 6 months but the directors are seen as receiving large bonuses. They may well deserve them but the timing is insensitive - again. There are many AIM companies which are given the phrase 'lifestyle' companies i.e. are there to keep the directors in their chosen lifestyle. Ariana didn't appear to be one of those but neither I nor the general market seem so sure now. The share price has fallen today on this 'positive' signal from the directors. | jaf1948
25/3/2021 11:34 | jaf, perhaps you are letting your frustrations (which i am sure most of us share with you, i know i do) cloud your views on the dir options. earlier i had mentioned that it looked like we could be in a 'slow' period for some time and that expected news items may not achieve desired result (a view not shared by many here) so apart from the long road to getting the divi, the share price is stagnating or even dripping away a bit. hopefully finalisation of divi details will reverse that trend. afaik director purchases rarely if ever send out the 'wrong signal'. as for exercising their options, imo these 2, ks and mdv, have earned their rewards over many years, for getting aau to where it is today. very few tiddler miners ever succeed, aau has already had much success and is on the verge of big things and they have lined it up very nicely for next stage of company development. there are many companies, large and small, with directors getting rewards not commensurate with their contributions to the company and effectively robbing shareholders, but that is most certainly not the case here. the delay in payout of special divi is frustrating but not relevant in context of exercise of dir options (the additional shares added to a billion shares in issue do not make a significant difference). | konil
25/3/2021 11:33 | If you can't see what signal it sends, then I can't explain it. | jaf1948
25/3/2021 11:28 | So the purpose of warrants is to reward them for helping the share price move up, but those same warrants cause them to dump hundreds of thousands of shares when the price is struggling against headwinds? Not a great idea. The directors do get paid to do their jobs, they should not be dependent on tips to turn up in the morning and move the company forward. One of the reasons I sold out some years back was that every time the share price showed a hint of recovery they would issue another hundred million or so discounted shares, always with plenty of warrants attached. I hope they've stopped that nonsense now and eventually all the warrants will be exercised or expire. | zangdook
25/3/2021 11:20 | How is putting ones own money into a director share purchase sending the wrong message out ? I'm a little confused. He could have crystallized enough to pay for all the warrants but he chose to invest 15k of his own capital to increase his holding. Have you fully understood this?? | bigglesbingham
25/3/2021 11:15 | Biggles, Far from it - a member of the Thatcher fan club. One of the frequent comments on here is that Ariana is 'unloved'. I have mentioned before how important perception is, and actions like director purchases/options/wa | jaf1948
25/3/2021 11:11 | JAF have to disagree . They were awarded warrants to reward them for getting the price above 1.55p. MDV puts more of his own money in to crystallize some of them but you saying he should not invest more of his own capital ? And not benefit from warrants until others have benefited from their hard work. I don't know what field you were in before you retired but I'd be intrigued to know? You weren't in Labour Party were you ?? | bigglesbingham
25/3/2021 10:16 | I said it was IMHO. We shareholders have been waiting for a dividend for nearly one and a half years. It would have sent a better signal IMHO if the directors could have also waited until we all got our rewards. | jaf1948
25/3/2021 10:11 | Wow, maybe you should invest in a bank or something? Oh, yeah - that's worse!MDV has invested his own money at many and various prices over the years....For info: my Best Buy was 437,007 in sept 2015 at .78 pence and my best sell 700k at 5.88. Does this make me a trough feeder too? | shortarm
25/3/2021 10:07 | Not impressed. However much 'new money' our executives put it, it still looks like trough-feeding and sends the wrong message IMHO. | jaf1948
25/3/2021 08:44 | We all do the same thing, at higher prices, without dilution or dumping. | zangdook
25/3/2021 08:24 | Yes Michael increased his holding and used some of his own money to do so. A positive. | plasybryn
25/3/2021 08:13 | The warrants cost 1.55p so to exercise 3m them would be £46500. He sold 600k at 4.73 so he's out of pocket in cash terms by £18k. Don't know where £24k Ching comment came from? | bigglesbingham
25/3/2021 08:10 | Oh haha we all know the warrants exist so shouldn't be too surprising! | lottsgold
25/3/2021 08:09 | Another £46,500 in the bank, ching! Edited - apolgs having a really bad start to the day mathematically. | thanksamillion

25/3/2021 07:17 | de Villiers putting his hand in his pocket, nice to see he doesn't want to damage the share price | lottsgold |
