I think that 6.5p is a perfectly reasonable short-term expectation as the dust settles on the JV debate. It would be extremely welcome from my point of view :-)

Personally I think there is a very good chance. I would bet 70/30 on some grades being exceptional but mainly just a gut feel at this stage. I'm expecting the share price to continue its slow but steady recovery now. The charts will come into their own soon. As we head nearer to the dividend I expect volume to increase especially after April 5th new tax year. I'm postulating 6.5p by end of April! Just a bit of harmless fun of course. DYOR

Back on AAU I found this interesting in the RNS yesterday, could we be looking for high copper grades too that would be a game changer?The diamond drilling programme marks the next phase of the Venus's appraisal of the Magellan Project as a potential mining development. During the 1970s, the Kokkinoyia deposit produced approximately 465,500t of ore at an average copper grade of 3.7%.

I would suggest reading the annual report and accounts albeit it could be quite a bit out of date. For more recent info. go to web site and search through the previous RNS's.

Thanks although I wasn't looking at AAU Biggles just a general question about the easiest way to figure outstanding warrants for any co. I'd be surprised to see MDV sell he can clearly afford the investment whereas Kerim probably needed the cash to enjoy life after his hard work.

Well done to Kerim on the PR front today, always makes me feel more confident hearing him talk and now he has nothing holding him back we can get this story out rather than us surmising. Well done to all that made the most of the dip it wasn't easy but will be rewarded IMHO.

Great interview thanks Risa, suddenly they have decided the kiziltepe underground mine is worth more investigation...thought that was on the back burner so they must have encountered some good grades? The future is bright, hope I can hold and this becomes a comfortable divi stock in the years to come.

according to gianni kovacevic from the link you posted copper producers were paying 3c to 10c per pound to get their hands on established (m&i) reserves during previous cycle. (at 5c/lb = $100/t.)

they say demand will exceed supply by some margin so prices paid will be higher this time round and with a 20 year lead time from discovery to BFS, producers will be wanting to come in much closer to production, so an existing m&i reserve may fetch a pretty penny.

that makes for some interesting numbers if venus get even 5% of their 9.5mt jorc inferred resource to jorc m&i reserve status.

my question was aimed at trying to understand how far away (ballpark) venus are from achieving that. some homework for me to do!

what does it take to move a jorc inferred copper reserve to jorc measured and indicated status?

steps involved, time it may take, are further permits required if they are drilling already? etc.

any copper buffs on board? appreciate any info, tia.
