Biggles,

Well done. The cynic in me does say that surely the raison d'etre for PR companies is that they do some ramping for their clients. If not, what is their purpose ?

Got email back from yellow jersey saying they are worried about it being seen as ramping! I replied saying if it was worded in such a way that the company said being a silver producer of X we are watching the price movement closely it shows company are on the ball and it's just how the PR company words it which is important . Told them I believe it's another lost PR opportunity.

If(??) silver does move, Salinbas North could become a tad interesting; havent got my notes to hand but from the RNSs:

7 Dec 2017 - "Outstanding silver grades of up to 505 g/t with significant base-metal potential demonstrated in previous drilling at Salinbas, including:

o 1.4m @ 24.9% Zn + 20.0% Pb + 0.23% Cu + 0.76 g/t Au + 505 g/t Ag

o 11.5m @ 1.8% Zn + 1.6% Pb + 3.29 g/t Au + 29 g/t Ag...

Furthermore, it is notable that this potential northern extension of the Salinbas mineralised horizon is about ten times more enriched in silver than the Salinbas orebody itself, based on the soil geochemistry."

28 June 2018 - "JORC Exploration Target (Salinbas Horizon) of up to 2.7Moz gold and 16.1Moz silver established in the Salinbas area, excluding current JORC Indicated and Inferred Resources of c.1Moz gold"

Don't AAU use silver proceeds as a credit against the production cost of gold? We are already one of the lowest cost per oz producers around!

Silver production 915,233 ozs since the Kiziltepe mine started production in 2017.
244,372 ozs of Silver produced last year. 363,646 ozs the year before.

This Silver short is an obvious PR opportunity. These sorts of opportunities don't come along very often. We need to make the most of it. Raise our profile as a silver play.

I hope Kerim has been on the phone to Yellow Jersey and Panmure Gordon demanding action.
These are rare gifts and we couldn't hope for a better opportunity as Malcolm so rightly said.

And the US market hasn't opened yet!

moves in pm markets are first reflected in headline stocks - most peeps outside pm bulls don't know of the tiddlers - the tiddlers then follow in due course.

by way of example, fres seem to be doing well today and to a lesser extent the smaller hoc, also some impact on cey which is seen as a gold producer though most pm miners produce at least some silver of course. compared to these aau is a tiddler.

of course it is likely that with a sustained rise in pms eventual moves in tiddlers will be bigger than those in headline stocks once the herd arrives.

another hurdle aau has as regards silver is that it is marketed as a gold producer and being a tiddler not many will have enough research to know about the significant silver production.

as it takes time for the impact to feed down to tiddlers i guess we would need to see a sustained rise in the pm prices, a short sharp rise and reversal may not be enough. (ironically, it may be that small 'blue sky' silver stocks rocket ahead of any gains by small producers.)

interesting times.


meanwhile aau has its own superb fundamental corporate growth story, so it would be good to get a jv completion rns soon and confirmation of $37.75m finding its way into aau's coffers, together with an updated cash and stock position as at completion date.

Malcolm Palle of Coinsillium (Chairman) talks here in this Podcast about the shorting debacle and the impact on silver. He takes the opportunity to mention Ariana as a silver producer and resource play. Malcolm is a long standing friend of the Co. and shareholder.

I just topped up this morning at 4.83. Just a feeling she is going to blow this week. Been a long time coming and I think the Reddit & Twitter chatter could be the spark. Let me be clear though, this stock was heading north regardless, just a matter of when.

Yes that would be a shock to be honest if someone joined a few dots like a leading PR Co. (Yellow Jersey for example) and said hang on, we're a silver producer and we've got a hell of a lot of silver in Resources, why don't we use this "golden" opportunity to tell investors and the market. No don't be silly. We don't pay them thousands to be proactive. Much better to keep these things to ourselves. Value will out and all that.

An rns would have been nice to reiterate to the market to clarify our current and future potential when it comes to silver production. I think that's a little too proactive for our promotion company however.

We have 8m oz of Silver at Salinbas alone. Let's hope this thing gains traction we've needed something to wake up the PMs I didn't expect it from Reddit but will happily take it.

AAU - not yet recognised for its silver production. But now with Silver in the limelight that could change:- "As at end 2020 the mine had produced a total of 84,200 ounces of gold and 915,233 ounces of silver, recording US$134 million in revenue since operations commenced in early 2017". This is of course a 50/50 JV with Proccea. All debt repaid apart from a small working capital facility, which will be repaid by Q3. But see details of new bigger JV and plans to accelerate potentially 2 more mines at Tavsan & Salinbas. Tavsan perhaps only 12 months from production and Salinbas fully funded to DFS stage . AAU to receive $37m in cash , 50% of which after taxes & costs will be returned to shareholders by way of special payout. Also developing copper interests in Cyprus via Venus.
