'Near future' doesn't really cut it anymore, 'rapidly on multiple fronts' is very vague but the deal is happening which is enough for me. Glad I have added plenty recently.

I am not an accountant but it could be just a virtual share (capital) reduction for the divi payout purpose - not the real share back buy (at this moment in time)

Still no completion date and I haven't got a clue what the rest means with the deferred shares.

'In addition, and as a separate resolution, the Company proposes by way of Resolution 3 that the Directors are granted authority to buy back up to 5% of the issued ordinary shares into Treasury which may then be cancelled or allocated to satisfy new issues of shares or resold in the market. The intention of Resolution 3 is to provide the Company with additional flexibility following completion of the proposed court approved capital reduction.'

It looks as though the dividend will be significantly lower than anticipated on the BBs.

The BoD have advisers so they should have been aware of the inability to pay cash dividends from the outset.

Why deceive shareholders.

5% buyback proposed - they clearly see the value!

an "tax accounting shareholders meeting" - cleaning up the BS in order to cover the loss account above zero in order to be able to pay divi

buying time again. no explanation on substance but the standard line

nothing of major substance.

Bit more complicated than hoped on the Divi but the deals still going ahead. If anyone can explain in English for those of us that aren't accountants?

There would be no point. If you want to see more than the 5 most recent RNSs, just click News at the top of the page while on this thread.

- going back - how many suitors did they had - on what criteria they had chosen the best one? eg - were they told?

- when deal was done - it was done on a premise of the fast conclusion. it did not take into account AAU giving months of work and riches into the pot as a freebe on the top of a cake (our cake for them). every child can see it and BOD did nothing. hmmm strange

- BOD hates this situation even more than we do. it is natural to point fingers - but they are not doing it (they are silently taking anger and blame onto them) - it is either BODs fault or butchers (and so they can not tell)

- KS just went off and physically never returned to his baby creation for a long time (not natural - COVID again is the reason lol)

- KS put his phd exploration thesis prospects elsewhere. why not into AAU

- KS is hinting into following expanding AAU into the current Ottoman empire regional expansion

- KS never proposed to help his other interests with AAU cash. which would be natural and beneficial to both

- BOD members expected the deal to be done soon - they were transferring their shares into SIPPs etc back then for the divi

BOD cant control and tell - give them a break imho

it is beyond their control. keeping their mouths shut is to a certain point in Companys advantage

just joking of course with all the above. no resemblance to the truth because truth = facts+emotions (of the faithful AAU shareholders)

have you ever thought if the faithful shareholders would not be adding - where the share price would be eg. to what level the seller would be selling that he sees as a fair value. why does he see that value as a fair one despite the present facts and future prospects. is he stupid and if so - how come he could have so many shares by operating stupid in his life

off to listening my plants grow

Cant see for a minute why Ozaltin would back out and lose their deposit. You only need to look at the RNSs issued since the JV was first mooted in Nov 19 - resource upgrades at both Kilitepe and Salinbas, plus great drilling results from Kizilcuker and Arzu South. And of course a gold price increase of 20%.

By the way, is it just me being stupid, or has the list of RNSs at the top of this board disappeared?

ok, here's hoping next week sees completion, or at least an explanation of status.

If Ozaltin try to negotiate AAU down I would be quite happy to vote against it if it came to that but I don't think that's the case here. AAU is a great company on its own with a superb portfolio. Capable of going it alone if necessary and the majors will be all over Salinbas with a bit more drilling imho

dare i say, perhaps ozaltin are playing hard to get and want to pay less or amend terms in other ways to their advantage and this is causing delays?

Turkey's sovereign wealth fund plans is to invest $15 billion in industries including energy, petrochemicals and gold mining as part of a program designed to reduce the economy's vulnerabilities.
The investor is focusing on those areas where Turkey constantly runs a deficit in foreign trade, according to Chief Executive Officer Zafer Sonmez. The Fund, known as TWF, is now beginning with the projects that will span over the next five years, he said.

Well we have two ready and suitable candidates - Tavsan and Salinbas. Hopefully Ozaltin involvement will mean we are top of the pile. Turkey has no history or interest in doing these projects themselves. They will want the experts with track record to carry them through. With the expectation of higher gold & silver prices over this period and our proven standing within Turkey, I surmise that this could be very beneficial for the new Joint Venture.

Bo I think we are at cross purposes wasn't getting at you! Correnties is shorting imho and when he mentioned sequestration I assume he was implying state ownership. I actually think you are correct in that the JV reduces that risk and I'm sure that was a factor in the deal. As I said my reading of correnties post was scaremongering. No offence meant at you at my comments I shouldn't have said them. Cheers
