From share price AngelGold fell to a 2-week low of $1,806/oz yesterday on Biden's backing of J Powell. Powell is considered more hawkish than the alternative Lael Brainard. This is up and down like a yo-yo and the overall trend has been down for well over a year despite every bit of production and drilling news released being good or better. If I had to guess as to why investors aren't taking the bait I would probably have to say lack of shareholder empathy by the board. That is what makes the stock so interesting. It hasn't put a foot wrong in terms of operations and profitability and yet the market has largely ignored the company as a credible investment. But when this baby turns it will TURN. You heard it here first.

Missing an opportunity here, as already spent up accumulating here in the last month. Sods law as they say. Let's hope there is more to come and news is slow, at least till the end of month that is.

Comfortable with fundamentals plenty of news ahead there's a definite seller so a firm reason for the fall not linked to fundamentals therefore great buying opportunity imho. DYOR bla bla bla

I did not sell.

my rant is about the risks going forward and about the general allocations and that the mandatory state sells is just the beginning of the same - only parameters change (price and currency). and about the timing - tavsan will be coming online in time of (hopefully not) extreme state of national economic difficulties.

I would like to know what is management doing about mitigating the risks further. First step was to get out and take some cash, second was to bring a "strong local man" on the board.

some governments (like China) demand all the production to be sold to them (and they determine the price !!!! and the currency)

there is a trend developing imho where the prudent management thinks about geo risks and takes some action in asset/shareholder/business protection/agreements/schemes

due to the global society trends this might become an issue imho. Enter increased taxes, regulatory costs, expensive energy, CO2 etc... and we get low mining profitability, high political risk, low output ..... meaning I will weight towards physical PM from now on - against buying more mining stocks. Real stuff is cheap and greed and aggression of the ruling mob knows no limits.

Plus liquidity of financial assets can be frozen by dictat, real stuff is at a walking distance in the bank in the forest

Plas according to King World News 2 x 1.25bn gold futures were dumped to cause the gold pull back.
