Another very good update. Lots of news coming out about copper and how most of the supplies coming on stream have been forward sold to the Far East. Coming into production without offtake agreements in the next 1-5 years should be an absolute money spinner.

Simply Wall Street is just a load of computer software. It inputs financial data from the company, runs an algorithm on it, and outputs a "report", which is written with lots of nicely crafted and pleasantly varied phrasing that makes it seem like a piece of genuine writing. The occasional howler, though, reveals the true authorship.

Panmure Gordon is the company broker, not the other two, one of which has lazily downgraded probably due to the divvy payment without taking in to account all that has happened and having a 50% holding in Venus, plus all the good drilling news that has happened over the last year.

PG are always very conservative so wouldn't expect fireworks but it is no excuse for not having a note for so long.

Yes it suppose it stands to reason the target price should be lower because of the divi payment.

Totally agree BB, I look at them as guidance for people who can't be bother or are to wealthy or lazy to do their own research, I have done mine, hence adding 340k today, this is in anticipation that note is due soon and could still be perceived to be positive, however, keeping some back in case it is not, in which case hope to pick up the same again on a dip, as we on here do know what's coming, and all fits in with plan to accumulate for time being, certainly till after 3rd divi.

Brokers such as PG are notoriously conservative and their view is they look idiots if they have a target significantly higher than the current share price what the broker note will do or should do is break down their perceived value of each operation then we can analyze whether the value is too conservative for each aspect. Or indeed they include each aspect of our operation.

Regarding the clamber for a revised brokers note- might have to be careful what you wish for! as it might not have such a positive outlook on the company as the majority have here.

Received an update from Simply Wall St. saying AAU is covered by three analysts, and one has downgraded share price from 6.7 to 5.3, the only analyst i know covering this with a target share price of 6.7 is Kieron Hodgson at PG, so will the long awaited brokers note be the opposite of what we think it should be?

Shame we don't have a well respected report setting out cogent valuations for each part of the company culminating in an overall valuation and sum of the parts :-/

i continue to wonder what the numbers for the venus listing will be. it will be interesting to see if the market re-values aau on the back of that - especially if ipo is successful?

in bringing the existing mine back to operational status the apliki jv could add a huge amount of value to the separate magellan project by reducing cost and lead time (mine development, some permitting, etc.) if they decide to process the ore at apliki.
