09/11/2021 09:32 | Ariana – Drilling News From Apliki BY NIGEL SOMERVILLE, THE DEPUTY SHERIFF OF AIM AIM-listed gold producer in Turkey Ariana Resources (AAU) has updated the market on the proposed 50-50 joint venture between investee Venus Minerals, in which Ariana now holds 50%, and Hellenic Copper Mines involving the Apliki Project in Cyprus. If all works out successfully the plan is for Venus to pursue its own IPO, giving Ariana some additional liquidity in the form of listed shares. | ![]() xow98
08/11/2021 18:49 | From share price Angel Brokers today:- Ariana Resources (AAU LN) 4.7p, Mkt Cap £51m Due Diligence drilling completed at Apliki Project Ariana reports encouraging drill results from the Apliki project in Cyprus, of which it now owns a 50% interest. Significant results include: 44.5m @ 0.77% Cu from 51.5m, including 8m @ 1.40% Cu 28.0m @ 0.86% Cu from 16.0m including 6m @ 1.59% Cu The completion of the drilling means that Ariana has completed its earn-in to 50% of Venus Minerals, which is in discussions with leading Cypriot mining company Hellenic Copper Mines for a 50:50 JV agreement for the development of Apliki. Apliki is a VMS deposit which was partly mined in the 1960s. A Hydrometallurgical plant used 3km from the deposit was decommissioned in 2019 and is expected to be relocated to Apliki for the new operation. Previous drill campaigns for the Apliki DD which have been reviewed by Venus and Ariana include: VMD006 (62m to 70m) for 8m @ 1.40% Cu VMD007 (20m to 26m) for 6m @ 1.59% Cu VMD008 (34m to 57m) for 23m @ 0.39% Cu Diamond drilling undertaken by Venus earlier this year has confirmed the presence of near surface thick zones of medium to low grade copper mineralisation which will form a significant component of the ore to be heap-leached at the Apliki hydrometallurgical operation. Dr. Kerim Sener, Managing Director, commented: "These drilling results confirm Venus' expectations of the Apliki Copper Project in Cyprus. The results have yielded several high-grade copper intercepts within an overall envelope comprising mineralisation which appears to be represented by dominantly oxidised material containing secondary sulphides." "Recent exploration results are continuing to provide confidence in the development of a long-life mining opportunity utilising the very latest technologies for the efficient extraction of high-purity copper via electrowinning." "Venus is well positioned as a first mover in the resurgence of Cyprus' renowned mining industry and we look forward to providing further updates with regards to its intended joint venture agreement with Hellenic Copper Mines in due course." | ![]() plasybryn
08/11/2021 14:31 | Yes individual circumstances and timing are also very big factors. | ![]() d1g3y
08/11/2021 12:41 | Panther Metals – Aussie IPO On The Way: BUY BY NIGEL SOMERVILLE Standard-listed Panther Metals (PALM) has confirmed this morning that the IPO of its Australian assets is set for 10 December. This is great news, firstly because the IPO offers finance for the Australian half of the portfolio and leaves Panther to concentrate on the Canadian assets. But it also means that its Australian assets will offer liquidity, either from the direct sale of shares or giving the opportunity to leverage its position. So how do the numbers look? | ![]() xow98
08/11/2021 12:27 | A lot of it comes down to the individual circumstances. At my age, a probable 10% per year rise is preferable to a possible 100% rise in 5 years time - when I was 20 years younger, it would have been the other way round. | ![]() jaf1948
08/11/2021 12:05 | I think we are all looking for those companies where the share price does not reflect the quality as that is where money is to be made. If you calculate the value of AAU to be 100 million and the share price is 10p then why would you buy it. If you calculate the value as 100 million and the share price is 4p... | ![]() d1g3y
08/11/2021 12:00 | Good point, could also be re worded as up 20 percent from most recent buying opportunity. I however decided I was going to trade a small block and sold 100k not too far above that level :-( | ![]() d1g3y
08/11/2021 11:57 | Or down over 25% in 14 months and that's with the dividend. I take your point that it is rising but the share price nowhere near reflects the quality of this company IMO. | ![]() jaf1948
08/11/2021 11:51 | Well we are up near 20% from the recent low, that's not so bad. | ![]() thanksamillion
08/11/2021 11:45 | But we keep coming back to the same problem. Every piece of news that we expect to move the share price upwards arrives and turns out to be as good if not better than we hoped for and what happens - nothing. Yes, it's a good company with good fundamentals but that isn't making me any money at the moment. | ![]() jaf1948
08/11/2021 11:30 | Wouldn't be practical to nationalize but could see them reducing the max percentage owner by a foreign based company. Anyway just me playing worse case scenarios and still happy so well done AAU. | ![]() bigglesbingham
08/11/2021 11:30 | I would like to say that I follow Turkeys Iran gold, India gold and silver etc under the table deals - as far as I can. I follow Turkeys CBs operations and revolving management doors. All I can say is - I know - that I do not know anything - BUT - Turks and the rest just love PMs - and they are important to them culturally and economically. It is in their DNA. PMs are under governmental "special operations" and as a AAU shareholder I am aware of it. Turkey is a PMs hub for not aligned | ![]() kaos3
08/11/2021 10:48 | I suspect Ozil would dissuade gov from taking on our mine, so much future value depends on Kerims nose for where to drill. | ![]() thanksamillion
08/11/2021 10:44 | The rns is a confirmation of what we already knew with additional confirmation of food drilling results. The fundamentals of AAU just keep getting better. Yes I'd like the share price to more accurately reflect it but with my holding size the comfortable of sound fundamentals is as important as share price. If we had great share price based on potential then I'd be nervous here I'm not nervous although I always know something can hit from left field. To me an example of that left field hit would be turkey limiting foreign holdings of mines to say 50% (I can see full nationalization) but AAU have expertly reduced that risk by reducing their exposure in turkey to less than 25% so as I say comfortable here with crystallization of turkey and diversification strategy. | ![]() bigglesbingham
08/11/2021 09:59 | I am beggining to like the look of the chart. | ![]() thanksamillion
08/11/2021 09:40 | AAU - currently the best kept secret on AIM but maybe not for much longer. | ![]() charles clore
08/11/2021 09:39 | An RNS on a Monday. Hopefully that means we will get something on the life of mine or at least some more progress news on Tavsan this week | ![]() trommel1
08/11/2021 09:22 | Not sure it's the best RNS we have ever had Excellance but the market is uninterested as ever. At some point this will change quite suddenly but for now we wait. | ![]() lottsgold
08/11/2021 09:15 | Well, I added a few this morning, not for the first time in recent weeks. At some point reality will hit the share price | ![]() donald pond
08/11/2021 09:04 | Probably the best single RNS AAU have ever had...and nothing. They've just earned 50% interest in Venus, and are in JV talks to get a viable project up and running, and nothing. The markets are desperate for minnows in the natural resources space at the moment. | ![]() excellance
08/11/2021 08:58 | Yes frustrating isn't it JAF. | ![]() soulsauce
08/11/2021 08:48 | I notice the market is as excited as usual about this latest good news. What a surprise. | ![]() jaf1948
