Someone is definitely selling a few - several large £10k, £20k and £30k trades gone through this afternoon AND late afternoon on Friday totalling about £200k.

There was a gap up mid October on the 3 month chart. Hopefully once closed it can rise on some (more) good news? Painful to see others affected on Friday back up today...

I am now resigned to the fact that the share price here will continue to drift sideways or more likely downwards until the company starts promoting itself, either directly or indirectly.

I consider Ariana a relatively safe company to invest in and over the next 12 months will be paying two dividends totalling around 7%. Because of those factors, I am prepared to stay here and just keep hoping that the BoD will eventually get round to doing their job.

Kerim was canny enough to derisk Turkey by selling a chunk to Ozaltin. He took the cash, gave some to shareholders and put a shedload in the kitty for non-Turkish acquisitions in safer jurisdictions. It turns out that may have been a very shrewd move.

The collapse of the lira is a bit of a double edge sword, ultimately we get our gold paid for in dollars, so what we spend locally on labour is getting cheaper. But the inflation must have an impact on other associated costs, so one cancels out the other. Fears of a possible civil unrest, I believe are unfounded, as Turkey has a very diverse economy, which I think will survive and in fact strengthen in the long run. Cheap lira will see the influx of foreign investment imho.

Quite a large sell at the end of the day. I would love to know the thinking and where the money is going. There's been news this week about the Turkish economy and their horrendous inflation/currency devaluation. It's probably great we are becoming more diversified both by location and by minerals, but I can see some perhaps being put off by the Turkey aspect. People invest in the likes of the DRC and Mali and yet for some reason they are more fearful of a European country. It's luggage we carry and have to accept I guess. Hopefully the ongoing business reveals in respect of drill results from Kiziltepe, Tavsan and indeed Salinbas etc. will in time override any negativity. Mariana Resources with their Hot Maden discovery, proves that point I think. Yes have a good weekend.

We should have a week of only positive comments, praise for the BOD and listing all the good news to come, (and make up some). Biggles should double his holding, or writes that he is about to, LTH could post about their profits and gold could go over $2000. All that would probably still knock to share price down.

Always the seller in afternoon still watching them reducing holding according to what buys have been made and so as not to affect price too much .

Gold seems to be holding above 1850 which with one of the lowest extraction costs per OZ is defo good for AAU
