Israeli oil firm Navitas Petroleum has partnered with Rockhopper , PL001 is on the border with Sealion it would only make sense to me that they could if a possibility happens, that they also consider a stake in PL001 from Argos. They have FPSO which is far quicker to drill than conventional rigs.

Good piece on the Argentina offshore bid round here.
hxxps://www.petroleum-economist.com/articles/upstream/exploration-production/2019/big-names-bid-in-argentinas-offshore-auction

Terms indicate that drilling may be a few years away ( ie rigs heading down there) with focus on seismic first.

Also lack of offshore services. Some big names in there including bp,Shell, Equinor,Exon/QP

A lot of potential at PL001, Argies exploration already going on around the south of Argentina's coast. Especially close near the Falklands. Nothing to fight over.

As of September 2019, adequately financed for the next 12 months as it continues to receive quarterly cash payments from two companies that withdrew from a production license offshore the Falkland Islands.

while maintaining a very material 30% stake in the Sea Lion project along with additional upside in the PL004a licence containing the Isobel discovery."Rockhopper expects to receive up to $48m worth of contingent consideration from Premier and Navitas on future development phases in the North Falkland Basin site.Argos has much more, imagine a JV.

The main N-S orientated North Falkland Basin graben system is about 50 km wide at its northern end, and about 30km wide near its southern margin, just 36 km or so north of the Islands; it is about 230 km long as presently mapped, but may extend further to the northeast. The basin contains a late Jurassic to early Cretaceous lacustrine source rock of world-class quality. This source is mature in its lower parts, below about 2700m sub-sea, and has expelled over 60 billion barrels of oil.

flyinghorse1 it's the Rhea stack. To quote from somewhere: This stack in the Eastern Graben comprises the post-rift Rhea, Poseidon C, Maia, Tyche and Selene prospects, and the Antheia and Attis syn-rift prospects. The combined arithmetically summed “best estimate” resource potential that could be tested by one well would be 449 MMstb and up to 1,463 MMstb in the upside case.

No one will bring a rig to FI just to drill that - but if Sealion goes ahead it will almost certainly be drilled. The announcement will not come until Sealion is certain, which means after the farmout is signed and binding (end Mar) - or more likely when FID is confirmed.

Demon- a lot at stake - I presume you mean positively?
I need to reacquaint myself with the CPR but I recall a lot of resources can be tested by a single well due to stacked nature of prospects, and Argos have a commitment to one well.
It ought to be able to attract a partner( it did before).

Need a strategy plan from the company, updates on KEY prospects ( far to many in CPR)

They have been sat quiet for far to long.
From company website Oct 19:
Argos Resources Limited (AIM: ARG.L), the Falkland Islands based exploration company focused on the North Falkland Basin, is pleased to announce that the Falkland Islands Government has extended the second term of the Company's PL001 Licence by eighteen months, to 1 May 2021, with no additional work commitments.

The Company has a commitment to drill one exploration well within the licence area by the end of the second term of the licence.

Commenting on the extension, Mr Ian Thomson, OBE, Chairman of Argos, said:

"We are very pleased that the Falkland Islands Government has awarded a licence extension. This reflects the collaborative approach we seek to maintain with the government. While the extension is welcome, it remains our intention to secure partners and commence exploration drilling as soon as possible."

This is the oil in Sea Lion.Resource estimates for Sea Lion are reported to be between 245 – 560 mmbo recoverable. This is in PL001.3D seismic data of excellent quality has been acquired over the entire licence area and has identified 52 prospects with a best estimate of 3,083 million barrels of prospective recoverable resource, and a high estimate of 10,412 million barrels. 40 additional leads have been identified which are not included in the above resource figures.I think Argos has a lot at stake even for a partner.
