I have no doubt that ARG will drill when the Sealion rig(s) go down there - and that looks much more likely today

It was always the hidden gem in the North Falklands, so this could be good.

RNS today regarding lots of 2p options . Will management avail themselves?

"Argos Resources Limited (AIM: ARG.L), the Falkland Islands based company focused on the North Falkland Basin, announces that the Board has resolved to amend the terms of options held by certain of the directors (as detailed below) (the "Options") such that the original expiry date of 11 November 2019 is extended by 5 years to 11 November 2024.

Director Number of Options Exercise Price Expiry Date
John Hogan 4,805,818 2 pence 11 November 2024
Dennis Carlton 875,000 2 pence 11 November 2024
James Ragg 1,025,000 2 pence 11 November 2024 "

Superb announcement.

If RKH and PMO go ahead then I think these are very cheap.

Another troll by the username lsehotdealz haha, share price is stagnant and there’s talks of fundraise at 10p on that board lol desperation has lead to going round posting on different board to prevent share price from dropping, usually ud stay quiet and average down and accumulate if you see huge potential lmaoo he’s spamming all the boards and a newly registered today as a member lol

I think the RKH paper will be worth holding and I prefer RKH to hold onto all their cash.

I see a FOGL style merger as the most efficient.
Current ARG management might like to try and keep their seats and pay, but, frankly, they will be an unnecessary expense.

RKH have plenty on their plates and can wait for the ARG apple to drop.

What can ARG management do but hope against hope until the cash and time runs out.

Afternoon Cyan.

Yes ARG would have to extend their license with FIG to be more attractive I think.

I know you think the paper merger is likely but I still think the same sort of Noble/Edison 5% Royalty deal is even more likely. It would be very cheap for Rockhopper to do - only several hundred thousand pounds until the drilling starts.

Good afternoon chinahere.

The logic of a ARG/RKH merger is compelling imo.

I suspect its just a matter of time and agreed terms.

RKH do not have to hurry though; they can wait.

I see in today's Rockhopper results they twice put the Falklands first in their list of possible further investment:

"We maintain ambitions to further expand our production base thereby generating additional free cash flow to strengthen our balance sheet and invest in future exploration

OR other value-accretive growth opportunities both in the Falklands and elsewhere."

Good point about their website being out of date. Someone should tell them!

Just had a look at the ARG website; talk about WAY out of date;

"The operator of Sea Lion has stated its intention to develop the field, with first oil targeted in 2017. This will ensure the establishment of infrastructure which will, in turn, facilitate ongoing exploration drilling in the basin."

I liked the map with DES licenses shown. Good grief. What do management do all day?

If you want to attract investors and sell yourself you could at least update the website.

Here is my 'wild' prediction; ARG will merge with RKH for £5 million in RKH paper.

I think that would be a good deal for ARG shareholders although some will not like the discount.

They should think about this; RKH, on FID will likely , imo, double at least the share price In 3 or 4 years a multiple of 3 or 4 would not be an outrageous prediction. Would give a useful capital growth from here.

The alternative is isolation, burning cash, and just hoping against hope something will turn up. The longer the merger is delayed; the weaker ARG position becomes, imo.
