Possibly, but I think there is goodwill from FIG (I reckon FIG just want this whole thing to go ahead) and ARG would probably prefer a 5% Royalty like they had with Edison and Noble rather than a straight share swap with someone.

Rockhopper has much more going for it than ARG, but if a few things come together then ARG may still be a very good bet from here.

Market cap circa £6 million..

Would the FIG play hard ball over extending the term?

Who else would want to take on the licence?

Probably end up with a paper merger.

If Premier are going to go ahead with this then offering ARG the same 5% Royalty deal (assuming FIG roll the licence on) makes sense to me.

Yes, Premier and Rockhopper should share the £75,000 cost per quarter. It could be an exceedingly cheap deal........

Pretty grim reading in the results. The clocks ticking .

Looks like ARG will have to fall into the hands of RKH like FOGL did.

"The current Second Phase of the Licence expires in November 2019 and discussions about the licence term beyond that date are underway with the Falkland Islands Government. The Working Interest in the Licence was transferred back to Argos in February 2019 and the Company will seek to secure other partners to participate in its development."

I agree that ARG look good if RKH/PMO have started. (I do hope FIG extend everyone's licences).

If I were PMO or RKH I would be thinking about offering a similar deal that Noble and Edison offered them. It would be very cheap for a year or more, but offer great potential.

No one will farm in here until RKH/PMO reach FID, and bring a rig down. But once they do, expect a significant hike in ARG sp, and then a farm-in and first drill for ARG.

So if you take a punt on the above, then a 5x hike in ARG is the likely reward - sometime in 2020.

Great news for Argos today:

Argos Resources Limited (AIM: ARG.L), (the "Company", "Argos"), the Falkland Island based exploration company, announces the completion of the reassignment to the Company of 100% Working Interest in Licence PL001 in the North Falkland Basin following the earlier notice to withdraw from the Licence by its former partners Noble Energy Falklands Limited ("Noble") and Edison International S.p.A ("Edison").

Ian Thomson, Chairman of Argos, commented:

"The Company remains very positive about the potential of Licence PL001. We have sufficient cash reserves to meet our ongoing requirements. Now that the reassignment of the Licence has been completed the Company will work to secure other partners to participate in its development".

With BOR and its asset one can only look at the evidence to date; despite years of touting for a farmin; none has been concluded to date.

Not saying it will not happen. I think that there was at least one offer years ago when POO was arounf $100, but, BOR management turned their noses up. I bet they regret that now.
The strength of POO is great and it does make one wonder; will BOR attract a farmin? will BOR management not be too greedy?
Will a prospect farmin partner have confidence in POO remaining so high?

I said to myself a year or two back; check out BOR when POO hits $80. I have and still am not convinced enough to buy the shares.
I invested in RKH which has a clearer run, imo.
