Posted at 04/5/2023 13:30 by tuna hunter it's not because jhi is private and shares arent tradeable on a market. but as an investment, better than arg as they have the clout and finance to get the assets moving forward. they will no doubt float in due course to materialise their assets |
Posted at 04/5/2023 13:26 by shareho1der If JHL shares is £1.50 per share.ARG shareholders will have 8m x £1.5 = 12m.Therefore, ARG should now be trading at 12/220 = 5.45p |
Posted at 04/5/2023 13:12 by tuna hunter pirates8,000,000 in exchange for 213,000,000 shares JHI sold a stake back 2021 for $2 per share www.oedigital.com/ne so if you have 1,000,000 arg shares, you will get 38,000 JHI shares even if JHI shares are worth say $1.50, then your stake in JHI is worth $57,000 they are churning out $43m+ profit (that was a few years ago... it'd be nearly double that now) markets.ft.com/data/ |
Posted at 04/5/2023 13:01 by pirates4 8,467,820 JHI Common Shares Compared to 213,000,000 outstanding in ARG.Not much to had out, if ARG are cancelling their shares. |
Posted at 04/5/2023 12:31 by c2b So why aren't the ARG announcements telling us that ? |
Posted at 04/5/2023 10:40 by tuna hunter from another board : if you guys do the calcs, JH Assoc. have paid quite a hefty sum... certainly way more than the current market cap of ARG. ARG shareholders are getting a slice of JH Assoc super cheap. The company makes $40m+ profit / annum. Last time they sold shares in the company to another outfit, the price was c£1.60 per share. This deal values the ARG shares at 4p. |
Posted at 30/1/2023 12:21 by flyinghorse1 Yes it does feel like PI's will get shafted here as the private entity will be untradeable (unless they list and if they had wanted could have reversed into ARG). How do PI's get any money out of a Private Canadian company.I'm assuming ARL refers to the limited company not the LSE ticker ARG. Anyone have an upto date list of major shareholders? PI's could vote against it but im sure they set 75% vote knowing they have the numbers. FH |
Posted at 21/12/2022 15:56 by georgeo1 In addition to the North Falkland Basin Licence PL001, the transaction gives ARL shareholders access to potential upside in the Canje licence, offshore Guyana, in a basin that has been the highlight of the oil industry for several years, enjoying prolific success from numerous giant oil discoveries.Who are ARL shareholders, don't they mean ARG. Can't get the name right. |
Posted at 19/4/2022 15:03 by the count of monte_cristo If you look at telbaps post, not offence and please don't be upset, but this is why people either make money or they don't in stocks. The rise is due to the news at RKH, this news then makes investors start to consider the other two Falklands stocks, which are BOR and ARG. Of the two stocks, ARG is the cheaper and risker one. The news at RKH starts to derisk BOR and ARG, hence why people are coming in to buy the stock. Both stocks are still cheap, but funding issues do hang over ARG, but the upside here is in the 100s of %. All of the above is occurring in a world where the oil price is above 100 USD and where Europe is going to be searching for oil security away from Russia. Further adding to the refocus on stocks, such as the Falklands oil explorers. The world still needs significant new oil finds. Hope this helps. IMHO, DYOR, etc. |
Posted at 11/3/2022 10:44 by cyan Have not looked in here for a while and am intrigued by this shares performance. The Argos license area has potential , BUT this post implies something else; "georgeo1 9 Mar '22 - 08:22 - 40 of 65 It's already been discovered with its huge potential just need partners seismic data completed. Drilling time." Its important for people to do their own research which may include looking at Argos presentations of what the POTENTIAL is, what Arg HOPE, MIGHT be in the ground as The Count Of Monte Cristo indicated in a post previous to georgeo1 post; However; Argos themselves warn there are no certainties; www.argosresources.c page 11 'General exploration risk' "......no commercial volumes of oil or gas have yet been discovered and there is no certainty that such discoveries will ever be made." Argos is an EXPLORATION gamble. |
