alm6, given the profligacy of governments since about 1974 having a blockchain crypto currency will be akin to going back onto a gold standard. So if governments do this without blockchain then their currencies will have no more credence that the current system. Of course the government will want it as it gives them control over all income and spending for tax monitoring. But such a system will likely choke much of the life out of small enterprise. But then we now seem to be in the midst of an exercise to choke the life out of small enterprise.

Pantera Capital’s Big Bitcoin Price Prediction Playing Out Exactly As Forecast, Says Dan Morehead

Pantera Capital founder and CEO Dan Morehead is doubling down on his bullish 2021 Bitcoin prediction, asserting that the leading crypto asset is still right on track to hit $115,000 by August 2021.

In Pantera’s latest Blockchain Letter, Morehead says that Bitcoin’s price movements, although delayed by a week, are playing out exactly as forecast based on the stock-to-flow projection published last year.

The currency in circulation is due to drop even further since the pandemic. More people are now using swipe as opposed to cash to avoid infection spreading. Indeed the banks are thinking of lifting the limit of swipe from £45 to £100. This has nothing to do with the take up of bitcoin.

I don't mind some of these people posting most of the time. It at least limits the deaths from total boredom when they're in the pub splitting hairs.

Currency in circulation in uk currently about 70 billion. Total money supply is around 2.5 trillion. The reason why digital currencies are being considered by central banks is that The transition will barely cause a hiccup
