1347: maybe the old one wore out, that’s the trouble with buying all these bits of kit piecemeal from neighbouring sites. Odd, though, you’d think they’d hire a specialist drilling firm, wouldn’t you, with their own rig? That mobile rig didn’t belong to them last month. It doesn’t matter much anyway, they won’t be drilling a sidetrack, will they? It’s that Joule Thomson valve they have to be concerned about, what?

I’m looking forward to the revised deliveries schedule. It’s three months and ten days since the date of the new CPR. If the Interim MD says it’s coming soon, that must be right, you can set your watch by him, what?

But it all depends on how much the offer is and when obviously

How long is it until there’s enough of it to sell and until they’ve got all the permissions etc?

I'd say about 1 month max. Did you see the news pictures today on twitter ?

cuds: so is first gas the first whiff in the pipe, or is it the start of cash flow? If the former, how long is it until there’s enough of it to sell and until they’ve got all the permissions etc?

waffle on ad infinitum about first gas -- it all standard stuff, first gas , first gold etc

Second, because this lot are casual about revealing the identity of people who do --- why is that important?

I’m not a shareholder - are you betting against the share price?

cuds: I haven’t asked a question for two reasons. First, I’m not a shareholder. Second, because this lot are casual about revealing the identity of people who do. I’m serious about the questions though. I’m surprised that the Interim MD can waffle on ad infinitum about first gas and no one seems to know what he’s talking about. And won’t ask.

Solo4/cuds: thanks very much! I don’t think we’ve said it would never reach 1p. Anything can happen on AIM and it did in this crock last week. If you’re going to claim you’ve got takeover bids from all and sundry, someone, possibly more than one, won’t know enough to take it with a pinch of salt. Some of us predicted a ramp this month. They need a shed load of money. Oops, I don’t mean the takeover status thing was for any purpose other than to encourage potential bidders to get in quickly. Not at all.

We understand that there has been a request for minor amendments to planning consents at Saltfleetby Gas Field as a result of changes to the onsite generation capacity, flare and condensate stablisation design, and addtional tree planting. Is the application for variation of planning permission now fully aligned with the Environment Agency Permit application and what is the status of the latter?

Thank you and Happy Christmas wishes to the Angus Team Asked on 30 December 2021
Alignment. Yes the two are aligned. The process is iterative as with all of the regulatory and planning bodies. In this instance further HSE (compliance with PED/PSSR and ATEX/DSEAR) and EA requirements led to modifications in design and layout during the autumn which are now reflected in this application to Lincolnshire County Council for minor variations to our existing consent.

Progress on EA Permit: We have dealt with a number of Schedule 5 notices requesting further information throughout the summer and early autumn and have, as we understand it, only two matters left to resolve. One matter concerns establishing agreement on precise methods of noise modelling and associated software and the other the management of a low pressure, low volume incidental off-gas stream. Both have a variety of highly technical solutions, the choice of which is being discussed with Agency and our various project engineers. We expect to resolve these matters in early January and do not, at the present moment, see either as a roadblock to First Gas.

Which of lidsey or Brockham will be producing oil first, and within which quarter of 22? Asked on 30 December 2021
We have been notified that the Environment Agency is minded to grant our permit to re-inject water at Brockham but this is subject to a further period of public consultation, so we have not yet advised the market of this development. Assuming the EA encounters no new information during consultation, the permit is likely to be granted during February 2022 and we would therefore expect to restart production at Brockham immediately thereafter as we have already upgraded the site to meet improvement conditions required of us. Other permissions, mostly non-contentious or administrative, being available we would hope that Lidsey production would recommence during Q2 2022

1347: I’m afraid I’ve lost track of deliveries. Where are those nice new blue compressor things that were on pallets somewhere in the US the last thing I can remember? Did they arrive in Kent for those old rusty cylindrical jobs to be fitted in them? They’re not still in the sea lanes, are they? And has the piping been made? If so, when do the multiple specialist local contractors start work on that? An update would be handy, what? “George: how much of the necessary plant and parts remains to be delivered? What are the expected delivery dates for the wheel thing for the top of the sidetrack rig and where is the Joule Thomson valve? When do you now expect to reach first gas? No, seriously? And what does first gas mean, and how long after you reach it will it be before you get some cash flow from it?”.

1348: isn't that missing piece a motorised grooved wheel on a small scaffold that sits on the top of the drilling rig and the drill bit dangles from the grooved wheel and gets lowered into the hole below? Forgive the non-technical language. Maybe I’m completely wrong, I haven’t paid it much attention.

Good article, cuds. The hedges apply until June 2025. Prices could stay high for the early part of the remaining 41 months. After they expire, Poundland production is scheduled to fall. They need to finish Poundland and get it producing ASAP.
