There is a guy on the beach with about 25 gorgeous women swarming all around him. Seeing this, a second man strolls on up to him and asks: “What’s your secret?”

The guy whispers: “All you have to do is stick a potato in your pants and the ladies will come running.”

In a flourish, the second man runs off and stuffs a potato in his pants. But when he returns to the shore, he soon discovers that every single girl that looks his way, runs off screaming in bloody terror.

Confused, he hurries over to the first guy and desperately asks: “Why are all the girls running away from me?”

The first guy looks up and replies: “I meant put it down the front of your pants…”

3Put, think about your question. It's logically absurd.

You're asking me to prove a negative. Let me make this simple for you...

You're asking me to prove that any listed company that has ever received a casual offer then decided not to announce it. Impossible (of course).

How would you or I know if any listed company had received a casual offer and then not announced it? What evidence do you honestly expect - the NON-EXISTENCE of RNSes announcing casual offers???

All one can do is refer to the AIM rules and regs - and I suggest you do exactly that.

HITS. You read my mind. Can just anyone make a non binding offer for Saltfleetby. If so then then my offer is a £Pound but don't hold me to it!

HITS: yes, I agree, though one could argue that reference should not be made in such circumstances to a chat with SEL/AAOG/Challenger etc. as being an indicative offer. If it’s not worth an RNS, it’s not really an offer of any kind, is it?

I know the rules, my question is do you know of any other listed company that has not put news out when they have a non binding offer ?

3Put, do check for yourself, but there is nothing in the AIM rules and regs that says any casual offer for all or part of a company must be disclosed to the market.

CF my reductio ad absurdum of some bloke in a pub offering George a tenner for Poundland. That would hardly be mandatorily announceable now, would it?

I’ve been replying to these shills recently because I thought their dim/misleading posts needed a response for the good of inexperienced investors looking in here ---- Going buy the same logic you would also need to say sorry to anyone that sold at 0.6 due to your de-ramping? Fair ?

my view is that there was no necessity or obligation for ANGS to RNS that it had (allegedly) received --- Ok hits, can you name one other company that is listed that has taken that approach. I cant for the record

Sincero. Why are you here. You never post anything factual about this company. All you do, day in and day out is berate anyone who has a different opinion that does not fit the cheerleaders agenda..

Sorry. In the bin you go. I have had enough of your paid to post copy and paste garbage...

Chickbait, my view is that there was no necessity or obligation for ANGS to RNS that it had (allegedly) received only casual expressions of interest in either its share of Poundland or indeed the whole company. Strictly speaking, one random bloke in a pub offering George a tenner for Poundland over a pint of Old Peculiar would genuinely fall into that category.

But it found a way round this. Again in my view, ANGS itself created the necessity and obligation to release an RNS by deciding to hold a "formal consideration of sale" process (which absolutely is mandatorily announceable via RNS).

Within that RNS, it can (and did) happily mention all sorts of other things as asides, including mentioning the alleged "non-binding and indicative" offers (but giving no detail), plus quietly alluding to further delays and further budget over-runs.

As to exactly why ANGS thought that just one week before a hastily called (E)GM solely seeking the immediate authority to issue up to 874 million new shares might be a good time to release an RNS revealing alleged, detail-free and entirely non-committal expressions of interest? That's up to each individual to weigh up...

1347: if they get authority tomorrow for the increase in authorised shares, I can’t see why they’d be under any constraint as to when they might subsequently issue them. Though if they’re not planning to have a big issue or two before the AGM, why seek this authority now?

I agree that it’s odd to be seeking this authority at a hastily-called EGM if they’ve got a bunch of realistic offers in their pocket for Poundland. Yes, of course they will have known about the potential bids before calling the EGM.

Is none of these shills prepared to state that they don’t expect a share issue before the end of the month?

Forgive me if I am wrong but in the latest RNS about a non-binding offer. That could just be hearsay no?
