The thing that I'm confused about with the pile driving is the fairly obvious issue of it going straight through that impervious membrane that surely must be below the surface over the whole site(see the drawings on the 2nd PP that the EA required at Balcombe to bring it up to current specs)

Can't see the EA being happy with a condensate or polluted water spill going down through the pile holes?

shell have an offtake agreement with Angs at saltfleetby for the gas , i would imagine they are in regular communication . angs have had "a series of approaches with interest in, and in one instance an indicative non-binding offer for, some or all of the Company's 51% interest in the Saltfleetby Gas Field asset " it is not a huge leap to connect the 2 ..... just saying ...

James. You do realise that driving the piles into the ground is only the 1st stage of works don't you. Also, one of the 1st pictures they uploaded was about 14 piles on the ground after delivery. If you count how many piles have now been driven at different locations there are loads. Then you have to break off all of the concrete on the pile caps to expose the steel pins. This usually has to be done manually using compressors and jack hammers. Very intensive and time consuming work. Believe me. I know from experience. and that's way before other other groundwork's, shuttering, steel fixing etc.. A very long way to go yet before getting to excited!

1347: yes, you’re right. F10 of the takeover code appears to apply

Clive is showing as owning a total of 4 million shares (all of which seem to have been recently bought) and having rights to 19.2 million warrants.

So, presumably the 19.2 million shares he subscribed for (in order to get rights to those warrants) must have been sold prior to his 8.3 info being disclosed?

1347: is that right? Warrants are non-disclosable? Not very sensible is it? In any takeover you’d expect the price to exceed the warrants’ exercise price, or be very close to doing so. They can normally be exercised whenever you like. The rules should include disclosure of warrant holdings as if they were the same thing as shares, in my view. Oh well, what do I know?

JT He would have subscribed for 19,200,000 shares last January (2021) in the placing, that would have been under 3% at the time so no need to declare. Warrants were one for one, with the exercise prices as in the RNS, as they are unlisted they don't count towards the disclosure threshold, well as far as I understand it they don't anyway.

1347: what am I missing here? He can only have got his warrants with the placings early last year presumably. There’s no market in them, is there? So does that imply he had the same no. of shares as of warrants at some stage? If so, and with the max. no. of shares then being 931mm, he would have had more than 3% of the company, wouldn’t he? Or don’t warrants count in the calculation for declarations of shareholdings? Or did he pre-sell his placing allocation?

PS Another 8,3 has just popped up, looks like he took place in recent placings as also holding warrants.
