Index re-weighting....more funds track the All Share and Small Cap Index than the 250 Index..and therefore the re-weighting had net sellers of APF.Longer term APF will benifit from better analytical coverage,which in turn will probably create buying interest from Mid Cap Funds.

The estimated coal for the 2 mines in Australia are worth £177 million for Anglo Pacific (at their current prices).

Just to clarify
The director sold 30,000 shares 3 weeks ago (7 March) and donated the whole proceeds to a charity, not for any other reason!

Spoke to M.Tuck last week and I am very optimistic and confident.

350p this week and then on the way to 400p.

Nice article in todays (Sat) FT Money by David Stephenson. However, he seems to have overlooked the recent results and says that the Canadian listing is "imminent". Otherwise good publicity.
I for one will be buying more on Monday as I see serious chance of a re-rating in the near future.

Merger/Acquisition
ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. entered into a scheme of implementation agreement to acquire Mantra Resources Limited (ASX: MRU) from Highland Park S.A., Anglo Pacific Group plc (LSE: APF) and others for AUD 1 billion in cash on December 14, 2010. The offer per share for the transaction is AUD 8. The mutual break up fee for the transaction is 1%. Mantra Resources Limited has agreed to pay a break up fee of AUD 11.60 million in case of termination of the transaction due to public ... statement by any Director of Mantra Resources Limited against the transaction or the withdrawal of recommendation by Board of Directors. ARMZ Uranium Holding has also agreed to pay a break up fee of AUD 11.60 million in case it fails to pay the consideration to Mantra shareholders or incase the agreement doesn't become effective.

The final price was agreed at $6.87 AUD + $0.15 AUD (Divi)= total $7.02

The holding of APF in Mantra is less than 5% but will fetch a significant profit of around £30-£32 million depending on currency flactuations in AUD.

The coal valuation ia Australia increased from £149 millions to £177 millions

Group profit increased by 173% £56 million (£20 millions in 2009)
