As if there was any doubt, that is rates nailed down hard at / below Zero for the foreseeable future & will likely be same across the world.
The penny seems to have dropped with the FED that this is not going to be a rapid 'V' shaped recovery & whilst they may resist negative rates just now, any second wave of the virus is going to drive them, below Zero.

The evidence, so far, out of China, Korea & Germany is showing how difficult it is going to be to realistically unlock economies and try to prevent 'R' rising above 1 / localised flare ups of the virus.

All the time we are closing in on the Autumn/Winter period when the odds of a second wave will start to rise.

mmmm … I again conclude that a debt-free, dividend paying Gold miner is a pretty damn good place to take shelter, let alone the potential for new discoveries and rising profits off the price of gold to drive capital appreciation.

My timing on an entry into EML this morning impeccable as always at 4.8p, cue the drop almost immediately back to 4.4p, won't matter a jot of course but amazing how often this happens to me. Sold SPE and topped up on POG and HUM today as well. I have sold a few losers and top sliced a few larger positions to free up some capital hence the EML purchase. Gives me a little fire power as well should the market decide to take another bath any time soon. TXP creeping up I see.

Well i was right first thing . Some were clearly underwhelmed and expecting more news. Managed to bag a cheeky few k more when the selling stopped early doors. Then we got a nice glimpse from Bill at what is to come . The company is pretty predictable in how it does things. Looking forward to the proactive presentation on the 21st :)

Blimey at one point it was about 10% down this morning now like MJ says it's in the blue. AAZ is a tenacious little thing if it was a aninal it would be a Honey Badger

Gold rush he did indeed. I’m probably a bit harsh on Bill, but then he’s not a media player, getting better but he’s a numbers man, so I don’t expect much more next week.

Maybe we’ll get more around the AGM, there should be bumper Q2 numbers and those should make good financial reading too. The real action will be the JORC, at some point the market will recognise AAZ better as it goes about its business nicely imo.

On a quick read through I get the impression some are underwhelmed by the results, but I am not one of them. I have just over 120,000 shares, for me this is SAFE income share, I don't have to worry about it even in these dreadful times and the company seems committed to providing a progressive dividend yield. A rarity indeed!
I am not that bothered about share price growth as I am not selling anyway. However, my average purchase price is only ca. 50p so I can afford to take a different view to more recent buyers nearer the present price.

Been saying this for years 🙄

“We have completely divorced the economy from the stock and the bond markets,” Social Capital CEO Chamath Palihapitiya said yesterday morning. “The Fed has been the principal agent of that obfuscation.”
