Try looking at alternative news sources I will give you a start. Below is a link to Willy OAM, he was in the Aussy army he started reporting on the Ukraine war daily. At the beginning he followed the western media narrative, then he started talking to people, mainly his mates on the frontline, then other people and now he reports evenly on the conflict though still supports Ukraine, the reality of what is happening is so far from what you think its unbelievable. The bombing of a school in Kiev for instance he showed freeze frame pictures of the missile hitting and it bore a remarkable resemblance to a Ukrainian anti missile missile, not a patriot, meanwhile down the street a Russian missile hit a military aircraft company office at the same time. Clearly the Ukrainian missile was chasing the Russian one but the MSM did not show the pictures down the street, Willy did. This might open your eyes a little if not go back to living in your fantasy land.

Ukraine war ends 20th April....
Peace plan leaked and it ticks all the boxes for Russia couple of debating points re a UK policed DMZ etc but all the main points are there especially no NATO for Ukraine. Zelensky is claiming its all lies so he clearly does not like it. All those people dead for no reason as Ukraine loses all the ground taken including Donbas which has most of their natural resources and huge damage to the economy and massive loss of life. Peace deal offered at the beginning of the war was a lot better than this. |

I know loads of people who "took profits" in AAZ on the way up in 2016-17. I sat tight and had a right laugh, similar in AVCT 4 years later, on a smaller scale.
And then I've had shares I sold too early and shares I sold too late.

I would say you 'shoot from the hip' a bit more than most, but I can tell you're just airing frustrations because you care, which is far better than being a disingeuous sheister. I don't think Wan is ever too aggreieved when you voice your investing advise - otherwise he would have stopped responding long ago!
You need a think skin in this game as too much emotional reaction means you will make worse decisions. |
JB' we all agree that Wan runs one of the best open thread on ADVFN.
The real weakness from him over time has been that he did not take profits when he should have done so.
I am an old geezer who at times does not express himself in written words correctly.
We all have complex personalities as well.
I mean no harm or think badly about anyone.
So' I will apologise to all especially Wanobi because he is a very gentle person.
I am blunt at times and a bit late in my life to change my personality.

You're being a bit hard on him there cmb, and, if you don't mind my saying using a bit of hindsight trading. Especially regards EML.
EML has largely been a disaster for investors. The fact it is showing a bit of strength lately on the hope they enter a years long court battle is neither here nor there. (Yes, I know there are those who hope the govt will back down vs EML... the question should really be how often does a govt back down in a tin pot place like that?)
BIRD will climb once the seller is done. Admittedly he went before it was clear but at the time it was a possibility. For now the seller persists.
OMI - great, great drill results. Now becomes less about the drill results (as shown by the reaction to the latest great drill results) and more about the next stage. He's already in a gold/copper miner with "decent prospects" though |
