Well that went according to plan, they should be very busy this week and hopefully next which will do wonders for the second half.

Looking more and more like a major snow event will develop over England during Sunday and Monday with widespread disruption. Staying cold for the rest of the week and likely much longer. As long as ASY can get around it should be very good for them.

Yes the weather was looking all rather innocuous and some profit taking for ASY has given a nice re-trace here. Of course you can always rely on the weather to bounce back just when you least expect it...ASY I have noticed is often the same.

Brace yourselves. cold weather coming. Could be a few weeks. If it lasts until Xmas it'll do ASY a lot of good as they will keep stuff out until the New Year. There will no doubt be parts of the country that grinds to a standstill.

Re the weather, there are definite signs of the cold weather returning with a vengeance next week, late wednesday onwards. Very strong winds likely (wind-chill) and a fair bit of snow around, I wont mention blizzards yet. Up date on Monday as it's all a bit early yet but if it comes off it'll be quite noteworthy.

FWIW, I had a small nibble on the buy side of that 2 way trade. Trying to take a medium term view and seeing it as an opportunity to top up in the, apparent, absence of bad news.....

Nice to see they are doing OK out there. These shares look very weak even at this price, reckon they have further to fall yet. It's not that there is a massive sell off either, I wonder why they are so weak? Hopefully the cold weather over the next few weeks will give them a reasonable end of year boost.

Surprised the share price falling with the colder weather good for heater hire.

Another good ME contract:-

"Due to the deep excavation and hard ground conditions, a conventional deep well dewatering system would have been ineffective. Our site engineers therefore installed 35 electrical drainage dewatering pumps, strategically placed around the excavation area to control the flow of groundwater entering the construction site."

Yes, these shares can over-react due to lack of liquidity. It's not as if there has been a lot of selling. However, there isn't exactly a stampede to buy them at this price either. You need to be on for the long term on this one.

QuePassa I suspect it is just a lack of liquidity in this tightly held share. Dramatic price movements can happen on little trading. The overall stock market seems to be moving more cautious in recent months. For me, the fundamentals of ASY seem sound and I suspect this is a good time to buy on the cheap if you are a long term holder of shares.

It's pretty well documented that the weather is going to get colder and stay cold for a while. Unusual so early in the winter, but it will obviously help with the heaters.
