24/10/2017 07:39 | Someone thought 630p was OK to pay! Lets hope they are right. | keithfox
11/10/2017 13:59 | Tks Jeff ... Makes building the Pyramids look simple | ignoble
11/10/2017 13:46 | As ever some really interesting reports on the ME blog. This looks like a big contract:- "Our engineers have supplied and installed over 90 dewatering pumps from our Abu Dhabi depot to the site location." | jeff h
28/9/2017 11:58 | Impressive results and cash generation. I wonder if they have any plans for that net cash?Seems a waste if it justs sits on the balance sheet.Special dividend would be nice. | shauney2
28/9/2017 10:38 | Yes, surprised but happy at the trading outlook! 7 pounds here we come. | keithfox
28/9/2017 09:44 | Today's interim results "Outlook Trading in the third quarter to date has continued to be positive. Europe has experienced strong results through to September as a result of continued high demand for air conditioning products. Once again activity in the Middle East has remained consistent through the summer period. The board remains cautiously optimistic that the group will have further success in the remainder of the year." Interim dividend of 11.9p announced. All looking good. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
26/9/2017 16:01 | ASY have to issue results by the end of the week so not long to wait. | horndean eagle
26/9/2017 13:06 | Would agree ...the Murray's other company reported last week so expecting Sykes any day now | ignoble
26/9/2017 12:58 | Anyone know when the half year results will be announced? I think last year were issued on 29th Sept so I'd expect them soon. | wildshot
12/9/2017 11:04 | Sykes have 2 Depots in Italy so maybe they have been involved in pumping operations and all that goes with it. | ignoble
12/9/2017 11:00 | Italy has had some horror flooding in the last days too ... Think the Murray Family has a couple of hotels in Miami Hopefully they were not badly affected. Extremes of climate and rainfall worldwide seem the norm this year. Devastating for those involved | ignoble
12/9/2017 10:39 | Seems like Ameripumps manufactures Sykes pumps, so I presume that's under licence. Ameripumps would make all the money/profit from extra business I reckon but not sure about that, and not sure how much Sykes gets from the US operation overall anyway. Interesting. | keithfox
12/9/2017 09:14 | My best guess is that AmeriPumps is an independently owned manufacturer of pumps using Sykes technology perhaps paying to use the IP in the past. Clearly their website ties them together marketing wise. Certainly Ameripumps doesn't appear as a subsidiary company in the accounts. | cockerhoop
12/9/2017 09:12 | Not much information about the US even on their twitter account. Results due the end of the month. | shauney2
12/9/2017 09:03 | Thanks. Curious about Sykes' US operations re Annual Report. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
12/9/2017 08:43 | Aye Unless I am wrong , never any mention of the US operations in Sykes accounts. Often wonder about that. As you say though , would imagine there is huge demand for pumps in the States for obvious reasons and stating the obvious | ignoble
12/9/2017 08:32 | Sykes has two USA locations. One in Chattanooga Tennessee and one in Hillsville Virginia. If/when downgraded tropical storm Irma gets into the Carolinas, I guess it will spike demand at their two USA locations. That's if Sykes are not already road-hauling pumping equipment into Florida. Anyone know? ALL IMO. DYOR. QP link to Sykes USA hXXp://ameripumps.co | quepassa
04/8/2017 15:50 | That is hot ! | ignoble
04/8/2017 15:20 | Yep, I was saying:- | thorpematt
26/7/2017 22:54 | All these reports of heat waves droughts and wildfires from across Europe must be assisting earnings I would imagine. Un-reliable weather can usually be reiled upon I guess. | thorpematt
24/7/2017 10:14 | New crane lorries purchased but of note are some of the comments, 'expanding customer base', 'company's success in recent months', 'accommodating growing demand'....all good phrases if you are a shareholder. | keithfox
08/7/2017 14:15 | Tks for that Jeff | ignoble
08/7/2017 13:27 | More growth! "Khansaheb Sykes the UAE’s longest and most established Dewatering solutions and Ground Water Control Specialist has further increased its fleet of drilling machines due to the increase in wellpoint dewatering projects within the region." ...overseas sales are already over 35% and with the controlled expansion in Europe look set to be over 40% within the next 2-3 years. | jeff h |
