29/1/2015 07:29 | He is not everyone's cup of tea, though I enjoy listening to him, and this is a bit of a ramble: Two points he makes. He is asked where to put your money now in this bombed out market. Where is the value. He says, anyone with near-term oil and gas production. He also says that companies below $250m mcap are only on the register of 2% of fund managers and banks. Confirming Jay's comments earlier. | edgar222
28/1/2015 17:19 | makday, that's your choice, I was right a few weeks ago that they faced a funding crisis due to the debts but most laughed in my face. I was barred from the Afren board ages ago for making points about the debts they were taking on. I hope you don't lose too much on AFR from here. | ngms27
28/1/2015 16:54 | Given the Solo transaction, would seem reasonable to expect an Update in the next few days. Hopefully not all bad news and something of a parson's egg at least. Can't help wondering if we might learn, or at least get a hint of, what Big Phil's been up to for the last eighteen months, unless, of course, it's all unravelled as a result of the price dive and consequent funders' funk. | warbaby43
28/1/2015 16:34 | Your opinion counts for nothing! End of! | makday
28/1/2015 16:30 | AFR equity is as dead as a dodo. You are deluded to even consider otherwise. All IMHO of course. Essentially best case looks like Bond Holders get the equity at massive dilution to existing holders. | ngms27
28/1/2015 16:23 | Listen ARFEN is not dead in the water....you stupid fools might get a big surprise...just concentrate on your worthless stock!!! FOOLS! | makday
28/1/2015 15:13 | Are we due any news this month? There was an Operational Update January last year. | jacks13
28/1/2015 13:43 | Afren really does look like it could be in deep @€it! : ) has now broken through the 5p mark..........nasty if you went for a punt this morning and haven't been watching.... | thecynical1
28/1/2015 13:36 | NO. don't say that, for heaven's sake | blackgold00
28/1/2015 13:20 | Afren has had it. Will Aminex follow? | skinwalker
28/1/2015 12:44 | if it goes below 5 then look out, I mean it could get suspended, couldn't it? what is it now about a 50 mil market cap. bloody mental watching it, I think I will stay well away from it, who knows which way this will go. | blackgold00
28/1/2015 12:13 | the bouncing dead cat is starting to head pretty seriously south again by the looks of things.......wonder where it'll finish.....bets,anyo | thecynical1
28/1/2015 10:30 | Not expecting any developments for a long time now a new Minister is in place just hope AEX survives now as the delays here are becoming farcical. | larsson 2
28/1/2015 10:14 | so news tomorrow then, being the 29th Jan, the last trading day before the Jan 30th deadline of the (option) "Aminex and Solo will now proceed with the assignment of the initial 6.5% interest in KNDL for $3.5 million. The parties have agreed to extend the deadline on the option to purchase an additional 6.5% on the same terms to 30(th) January 2015 as a result of the longer than expected time taken to obtain the no objection notification." | blackgold00
28/1/2015 09:22 | yep agree with all that thecynical1, with the poo at the mo, on paper they are pretty well worthless. Their flagship Ebok field disappointed me, the wells did not perform as we were told they would, 3000-4000 bopd , they never did DSTs just some complicated calculations, I've lost count of the number of producing wells they have drilled to try to maintain the field production rate, which is a lot less now than when Ebok was first developed about 45,000bopd I believe. I was beginning to smell a rat back then and got out over a year ago now. | blackgold00
28/1/2015 09:10 | for the dead cat bounce caused by bottom-fishers? That would have been brave.....I'd wait till the real details emerge over there.....they are talking about having to raise a serious amount of money and even if they get over that hurdle, there isn't imo much clarity as to how they intend to proceed longer term.........when oil recovers ( which I guess we all hope it does ), it'll be a different scenario.....at the moment, that is just plain ugly if you as me.... : )but hey....wtfdik... | thecynical1
28/1/2015 08:55 | isn't it nice and peaceful here compared to over at Afren, I nearly bought some AFR this morning just for a quick punt. | blackgold00
28/1/2015 05:41 | What do they call a dog in Tanzania? Barak? | joestalin
27/1/2015 23:24 | a dog is Mbwa and guess what Ndovu translates as? an Elephant, now isn't that fitting for what we are going to discover about Ntorya. | blackgold00
27/1/2015 22:12 | Question: What do they call a dog in Tanzania? | skinwalker
27/1/2015 18:00 | poor Afren indeed - but at 5p with net production (25% hedged at 90-95p) of 37kbopd this year, and a tax break on top, which has the more near-term potential - AEX or AFR? My £15k in AEX after several years was worth just £3,500 today (not the 1st time AEX has done that to my cash btw), so off it went to AFR where I fully expect it to perform marvels in the very short-term. Good luck to holders here, and if my gamble comes off I might well buy my stake back here for the long-awaited production. | biggerthus
27/1/2015 17:27 | poor Afren, what a story, from nothing to over a billion £ company and back to nothing again in just a few years. | blackgold00
27/1/2015 16:06 | tc1 I don't really think there ever was a clear case for investing in Aminex - not for as long as I've been invested anyway. I've always viewed it as a punt! | skinwalker
27/1/2015 15:51 | I think Tanzaminex has made me go quite mad, I just want it to all go away. | blackgold00 |
