The new man steps forth and, bearing in mind what the CCM is, I wonder what he means by "We should also prepare the public sector for it to build capacity in running the oil and gas sector."

And some more mind-boggling figures on Tanzanian forestry and charcoal use:

Not just winning the Afren debate, it's game over I have won. I told the guy on here that the debts weren't serviceable but he didn't listen and has probably lost a packet. The RNS today states exactly what I said:
The Board has reviewed its business plan with the aim of minimising its funding requirements in the current oil price environment to focus on the development of the Company's core assets in Nigeria. Assuming the Company's current debt structure remains unchanged, there is an equity funding requirement which is likely to be significant and in excess of the Company's current market capitalisation. New funds will be required to meet interest and principal repayments, working capital and a reduced capital expenditure programme. The Company will be having discussions with its existing stakeholders and new third party investors regarding recapitalising the Company.

They now need to raise 3 x the market cap given the share price collapse

I don't really mind on what grounds he's locked up. The important factor is that he is, and the key thrown away. The delusionment and cross-dressing are different issues. I have no problem with the cross-dressing. This originally came about when he was appointed Bishop of Billericay (for his blind faith), and frocked-up in the regalia. He found he liked it (loved it in fact)

I'd say ngms27 is winning the recent Afren debate...Hitting 5p today must be a bit of a shock for many an unfortunate PI.
Skin I assume you mean "locked up" from a financial, ramping, damaging angle and not anything to do with a potential mental health issue relating to his delusionment/alleged cross dressing. Not obviously suggesting transvestites are deluded although in a sense I suppose some are. Anyway good news on the end of corruption, all it took was a simple cabinet reshuffle. I'm sure it's not a case of...The King is dead, long live the King.

Sandra.

I don't suppose that whoever they've agreed a price with will be particularly happy. Please don't tell me it's the Tanzania government

Pretty much a clean sweep with changes of both Minister and Deputy Ministers at Energy Dept plus a new Permanent Secretary there along with a new boss at TPDC.

While Muhongo had had a pretty distinguished career as an academic geologist, the new minister appears to be a fairly typical CCM politico:

Gas prices to drop 23% in 2015. Wentworth got lucky signing their contract at 3. Aminex might be squeezed to 2.5 whne they get their gsa in 20xx LOL. Where is the bloomin GSA?

the Minister for Energy and Mineral, Prof Sospeter Muhongo, giving a report at Davos the World Economic Forum one day and then resigns the next.

Hmm, on second thoughts prehaps its better he hasn't signed the GSA yet.

The Daily News (the CCM's very own Pravda) doesn't appear to have caught up yet; nevertheless, an interesting piece:
