09/8/2019 08:07 | Multiple interested parties - who have signed up to the process. Shareholders are strongly advised to take no action. I would have thought those two statements would have seen us clearly through the 20p area, we are not even up to where we were after the M+P bid? | fozzie
09/8/2019 08:06 | 30 trades already... hmmm. | kipper62
09/8/2019 07:59 | Does this mean that the board will tell them what they are really worth? | kerri28
09/8/2019 07:57 | It looks a competitive process to me, M&P bid was rejected virtually straight away. I think it is reasonable to assume all parties entering this know management genuinely believe AMER is worth more. What is interesting is how OXY and ONGC will react to the sale process. I would not be surprised if CP-05 is a separate parcel and the rest is grouped together. The strategic importance of the OBA will also be intriguing. | yasrub
09/8/2019 07:54 | avsome Not news we really knew but news we hoped for Originally Amerisur Resources Plc ("Amerisur" or the "Company"), the oil and gas producer and explorer focused on South America (LSE: AMER), announces that following the receipt of interest in the Company and its assets from other industry participants, and in light of the high level of recent activity in the Colombian E&P sector, it has decided to conduct a formal review of the various strategic options available to the Company to maximise value for shareholders. So that was just interest from other industry participants prior to signing up to the rigorous rules. Now its 'multiple interested parties' who have signed up to the process including the confidentiality clauses and carte blanche right of Amerisur to set the ground rules. That is quite different and multiple interested parties doing that is a bidding war. | tyler durden1
09/8/2019 07:54 | This is the bit i like Shareholders are strongly advised to take no action in respect of their shares until completion of the FSP. ENDS | gemlotte55
09/8/2019 07:52 | Shareholders are strongly advised to take no action in respect of their shares until completion of the FSP. Does that mean not top-up as well? ;-) Hmm... some may not listen. | lauders
09/8/2019 07:46 | Fa, if they finalise a sale they will be able to convert their options at the deal price which would be expected so be higher than now of course. Also I'm not sure that they could exercise options while in negotiations, I doubt they can deal in any way right now so they will not wish to still be in negotiations on the option expiry date imho. It's possible they could extend them if negotiations are protracted but I was hesitant to suggest that! | bountyhunter
09/8/2019 07:45 | Multiple parties have now agreed to participate in the FSP through the signing of a confidentiality agreement. Participation in the FSP includes the provision of confidential due diligence materials and access to Amerisur management. Could take weeks, months to finalise a deal just sit tight. | avsome1968
09/8/2019 07:42 | bounty hunter: why would options expiring have any say at all. Could not the BoD exercise their options now if they wished. | foiledagain
09/8/2019 07:40 | "multiple" - probably 5'ish at a guess. | nigelpm
09/8/2019 07:34 | Hope it's sooner rather than later | juuunx2
