08/8/2019 12:38 | There is a mostly daily repeating trade sequence - sometimes more than once a day shown at 11.52.22/3 today. I liken it to a rocket or pine tree. I'm sure others may have noticed the pattern and it does walk down the sale price. I'm not saying it is a sinister development but it certainly plays into any conspiracy theory narrative. | lucyp00p
08/8/2019 11:11 | If we’re back at the beginning I trust you aren’t wanting to go over the same old arguments again... one can only take so much deja vu. | davwal
08/8/2019 09:04 | There is one company which is in the best position of course regarding this. | bountyhunter

08/8/2019 07:02 | Indico-2 is so important to AMER in being potentially transformational that the sales process should not be finalized until the result of that drill is known imho. | bountyhunter
08/8/2019 05:09 | Lauders - our BOD will definitely try to get the best deal but not necessarily for everyone involved, in my opinion. What if the bidder gives us shareholders something in the mid-20s but then offers management (mainly JW and GC) a multi-million deal to "manage" the business for the first couple of years? After all, JW has a lot of experience in Colombia and his services would be essential, at least for the first few months after the acquisition? Bidders sometimes make it a condition that existing management stays for a period after the acquisition! We all have to wait and see what develops but do not take anything for granted with our BOD! | sji
08/8/2019 02:49 | I am probably slow and did not see this presentation from 31st July until now and it has already been shared. A lot of messages here lately! Nothing particularly new that I can spot. I just hope that the process takes long enough to include the results from the next drill attempt per the last update we received from the company: We now look forward to drilling the Indico-2 appraisal well that has the potential to transform Indico reserves as it tests the extent of the oil-water-contact". If they are indeed transformational things will be a whole lot more interesting when it comes to offers with luck. The BOD have stated they are attempting to "deliver maximium value to shareholders" so we either believe them or we don't and since some of them are pretty substancial holders I would think it is in their best interests to maximize any final per share price! | lauders

07/8/2019 21:04 | Another 5000 barrel production at the next CPO5 spud will be nice.....(1500 for us)Personally I'm not fussed if we sell the Company now these shares are in my sipp, I'm happy to grow OXY and CPO5 and reap the full rewards at a later date of 20,000 barrels a day later down the road.....as we are in a good position to be worth a lot more down the road than any takeout bid now could offer. All in my opinion of course GLA | fatgreek

07/8/2019 20:51 | OBA output 06.08.2019 - 5,013 bopd (at least, we're on the right track again, it seems) | sji
07/8/2019 20:45 | toptrump1 - yes. blackdown2 - yes, no one knows exactly what is going to happen and at what price (if anything happens at all). However, everyone has the right to say what in his/her opinion can happen and act accordingly. If you do not like to hear other people's thoughts, you can stay away from this bb for a while, no? | sji
07/8/2019 20:33 | Are you sure about that sji? | toptrump1
07/8/2019 20:30 | The fact is that no poster has a clue what the take out price will be. The current range is 17-50, so take your pick. The other fact is that the board would not have initiated this process unless they were reasonably confident of achieving a satisfactory outcome. How about radio silence until we get an update from the company. | blackdown2
07/8/2019 20:15 | No, the formal sales process does NOT preclude a hostile bid. It simply means that prospective bidders will be provided with inside information to enable them to evaluate better the target company (AMER). The prospective bidders will be bound to keep any inside information provided during this process secret. However, there is nothing preventing a prospective bidder going hostile in the event that they do not agree with the price requested by the BOD. | sji
07/8/2019 19:44 | And the formal sales process prevents a hostile bid | toptrump1 |
