No, there is a concession from the takeover panel to go away with the time limit. M&P can take all the time it wants before it makes a move. No time limit.

I wouldn’t”;t ross. My shares are held by SVS xo. Longer this takes the better for me. I have a good average and prefer to set a buy target rather than a target price. Would perhaps ‘top slice’ but depends if I feel the fundamentals support a higher MC.
Too simplistic throwing in a number and placing a bet.

I will even vote against a bid at 38p as I do not believe it represents a third of what Amerisur will be worth in a short space of time what with Occy and other assets plus strategic oba

For those of you still daydreaming that AMER will attract several bids for its assets (as being led to believe by our board - who by the way, as far as I know, some of whom had companies listed in the Panama Papers - that's for their credibility!), now would be the best time for any hostile bidders to raid the markets as it would be extremely easy to collect a sizable stake in the company at relatively cheap price (22-23p) in my opinion.

Today, AMER fell 3.6%, like several other oil companies that are not in takeover mode! That should be indicative of something for "normal-thinking" people (not those with tinted glasses that still believe in Santa!). How come the share price is moving down when we should soon get a fantastic bid? Is the market that crazy or is the market realizing that maybe our BOD is raising the hopes of its shareholders too much - as has been the case in the past? If ever there is going to be some hostile approach, now would be the best time to act when the markets in general are crashing! If we do not get any hostile bid within days, I am afraid that we will not get any.

As usual, this is all in my opinion and I have no inside information whatsoever. I just try to reason out things!
