seismick,

Operationally, Amerisur were running at negative cash flow of about $3 million in 2016 (the last full year results) when the average oil price was $43 per barrel. Average daily production was 3086 bopd, making the loss per barrel somewhere in the region of $1.

It was only at the end of 2016 that the OBA came online which reduced lift and shift cost per barrel from $26 to $15 (a saving of $11 per barrel), the remainder of the year was spent slowly increasing throughput from an initial rate of 1500 bopd.

The 2017 oil price averaged $54 per barrel ($11 per barrel higher) with an ever increasing percentage of our production being shipped through the OBA at a lift and shift cost of $15.

So you've established that the company made a loss in 2016. Now take a little bit more time to work out the likelihood of the company being profitable or loss making in 2017 and then 2018, the period most people would have an interest in... what do you think?

To make it even easier I'll tell you that the average for a barrel of oil so far this year is circa $69 and the lift and shift costs are almost all at OBA rates of $15. I'll also tell you that you can assume central costs coming in around the $12 million mark and production levels are markedly up from 2016. The company is debt free, so no finance costs and the company planned for being fully funded at $45 per barrel with a fairly comprehensive drilling program.

This is entering the serious top zone. It has dropped 25 percent in a month on nothing at all. Lack of purchasers for whatever reason.

So at last a close below 16p and a bit of a pick up in volume to support.
Any kind of bounce from here watch the volume, but i suspect we'll see a further gradual fallback much like we have recently until it gets to below 15p. Then i could see the pace picking up a bit aswell as a much greater volume.

It's like the script has been written for this. Handy if you have a copy.

As for tyler - well it's not a false market and there's no law about selling stock one owns. The problem for amer is it can't generate enough buy interest to counter the sell pressure. The real question you should be asking is why is that the case if all is hunky dory...

Interesting times ahead. Watch those stop levels.

Iv not even read the strings on this for months but i bet its the same mugs sprouting the same excuses and jumping on anyone who even remotely takes this BOD to task. I have said for 2 years once you buy this share at a reas9nably low price sell at 20% to 30% profit as it always looses traction there after..Take profits I say, take profits...

You may be right, but I would be surprised if all our major shareholders see their holdings in AMER (circa £10 to £20 million) as a minor punt which has given them no return on capital so far. If you are right then it is no wonder that they haven't stamped their feet & shaken up the Board.Maybe some of the larger players on this BB should lobby the IIs ?

Last set of financials weren't very good, all very well producing oil but operating at loss isn't that impressive. Someone keen to get out of it also not helping.
10p lows hopefully wont happen though?.

All fully funded! Not many oilers can boast that on 16 wells.

"Amerisur is well positioned with a strong balance sheet to further build on our successes to date and continue to grow production and reserves. Our broad portfolio provides the Company with a significant amount of flexibility with the drill bit to ensure we continue to deliver value in the current oil price environment. We remain very busy targeting up to 16 gross wells by the end of 2018 focusing on Pad 2N, Putumayo 9, Putumayo 8, CPO-5 and Putumayo 12, together with the N Sand anomaly wells on Platanillo, all fully funded from existing cash resources and cash generated from activities at $45 oil."

Agree, Davwall. From the tenders, Sol 1 is only 1 or 2 months behind Indico and the contract for civil works on Indico will have been signed by now.

Geographically, Indico and Sol are quite close, so looking like back to back wells, up dip from Mariposa.

If only the Colombians would sign off on the environmental extension and the Put 8 well from another block, we could be looking at multiple wells in short order.
