Excuse this rather lengthy diatribe.
I just checked out the notes to the last annual report regarding the LTIP and it looks like the directors lost out on a massive tranche of options which lapsed on Feb 7th 2018. Now, I don't know if Rex is a vindictive S.O.B. but if he did fall out with the BoD over options, he's certainly succeeded in his objective of killing these off, although there is a final windfall scheduled before May 2019 - subject to share price target being met - so this game may go on a while longer. Hats off to Rex, he succeeded in ending the greed but at what cost to us all I wonder.

I was researching in order to get a feel for the 2017 results. Taking all the information available, looking at average oil prices and guessing some other bits, I calculated the annual profit before write downs, capex and taxes to be in he region of $55 million - equivalent to around 4p per share - and that's before a reserves uplift. Even if I'm 20% wide of the mark, this is still clearly trading at a massive discount.

Hi FA,

I've not posted here before, but I've been invested in AMER for a while.

I don't tend to post as I'm naturally a pessimist, and so question everything I invest in! I appreciate I come across as negative. But I'm confident that Amerisurs true share price will be realised soon.

These are my buys if you'd like to investigate me further ;p

Hmm looking at those it looks like I've been 'Catching a falling knife'! There goes my negativity again! ;)

I wish all us longs well .. and those dirty shorters can rot in hell! ;)

We have recovered from these lows before, including when factors like poo have been less favourable. No apparent reason not to recover again. The question is do you stay long or trade the lows and highs? Trouble is every time we get to 20's it's compelling to think this time will be different.....

Your loaded up here are you, strange you have never posted about it, or Amer.

My opinion is you are on the short bandwagon, but I also believe you are a little too late in the day for it.

I spent £104k this week on Amer, and will do so next month, as I quite like the idea of buying £10 notes for a fiver.

I'm sure some on the sidelines will come round to that view, as they are waiting on the sidelines to jump in so its about who will be the first to blink.

.. I too, along with others, are thinking 'what the hell's going on?'. It's been an unfortunate (unknown) demise for us but why are we still here?

A massive amount of buys to sells on the last couple of days. I'm surprised the more vocal people on here haven't questioned that?!

I'm not one for conspiracy theories.. but going on recent months, it feels like we've
been held down. Is that allowed, if not how do we protest, the FCA?

I'm loaded up here, 21p average. I 'd love to buy more if funds allowed.

I thought it was a requirement to have the Directors holdings listed like the major shareholders? I took it upon myself to do it for them. Here are the last buys of the directors.. I'm quite proud that I own more of the company than Dana!

Cripes we're near the lowest level of support and it's hard to see how many would buy even at this level knowing there's very likely a barrel load of shares to be steadily offloaded.

We have to hope other circumstances force RH's hand to expedite the dumpathon.

Since November's peak of 19.1mil the SOL has been dropping bit by bit with Jan's figure now 12.2mil down from Dec's 14.3mil. Based on the current daily volumes that's still quite a significant amount to play with if someone was so inclined.

Quite right. RH is putting the squeeze on the share price in pursuit of his own agenda: sale of the company. But the board, some of whom have been in place since 2007, want to stay put for the moment.

I’m afraid we are just going to have to ride this out.

Thanks for your comments but I don't agree with what you say. All I am saying is that in my opinion the current depressed share price is because of the potential not being met by the current Management. A share price is not only determined by demand and supply. It looks to the future. Neverless good luck with your investment

underhill

you state something as if its fact, when it just your opinion.

Fair enough to express your opinion, but don't state it as facts.

"At present the market sees little progress here" who says, you say, not the market.

This share price is down to a combination of things in my opinion, but primarily from the drip drip drip of a sell order.

Only private investors are buying, as the City knew of the sell order and can get updated every day.

If the market was as disenchanted as you state, then multiple major shareholders would be selling, and they are not.

Too many posts here about the falling share price. That's the AIM Market for you. I'm only interested where the share price will be in the future. Amerisur has rarely met production targets and the Market does not like that. At present the Market sees little progress here hence that's reflected in the current share price. I suspect that this may be taken out sooner than later at these depressed prices and some other more pro active Managment can realise the potential here. It's obvious the current Management can't. That's what the Market thinks

Here we go......down at close? If they're able to, this would be a really appropriate time for Clarke and the others to add a few more to their holdings.
