Linc Energy have just started drilling on a neighbouring Arckaringa block target 103 billion barrels oil equivalent, so that's why ANR's acreage is proven 'world class'. That's why they will get a good deal!.

fwiw, Zak Mir today has ANR short term share price target of 1.8p, which is +100% from current share price.

I would think Wintask will have a big say on the board members now given they are linking them with SA and taken nearly 30% of ANR themselves. I think the 'company moving closer' part was a welcome development to shareholders and a deal not far off.

Could be wrong but see this as a big development given the history.

Exactly, it isn't just him leaving (although saving almost quarter of a million a year for someone to warm a seat on a part time basis is good news in itself) but it's the hint of progress in the short term and the hint that they have someone lined up to take the company forward

Because it's only somebody leaving and there is no replacement !

I guess for very long termers with a stock that has underperformed on the deal
front a guy from the start now leaving will be good news to some but it's still
not progress although they have hinted something is coming.

Excellent, and not unexpected, news :-)

The way is now clear for new leadership, JV and a new phase of development of Altona at Arkaringa.


We expect more news on this very soon which will trigger re-rating to 3p-5p range.


p.s. Linc Energy operations at Arkaringa will also raise the profile of what we believe is a basin with world class potential.

I've often wondered how Lambert filled his days to "earn" his vast salary, now we know.......he was spending time on his other interests.

How nice for him. But how sad for him that after all these years, the gravy train has come to an end as he would shortly have been called upon to do some work.

The phrase "good riddance" comes to mind, maybe we'll now find someone who earns his corn.

The city generally don't like these announcements, but I feel quire relieved that the RNS implies that we are finally going to see some progress
