Exactly euclid, the cheaper you can buy a propsect with massive potential, the better. The imminent data analysis update on the EM aerial graphite/gold and other rare earth mineral survey will give the market and any potential suitor a very good idea of how much it might be worth. gl ;-)

ps a late 4m sell at .341p and now a 4m buy at .359p......gla holders, anytime now. ;-)

Birimian Gold paid $40,000 for it's licence & currently been sold to the Chinese for £63m

Alba paid £150,000 for 41% of this licence in Novemember. That gives an idea how much its worth.

Samples taken from historic workings at the Amitsoq mine were then subjected to graphitic carbon analysis and a petrographic determination of flake size by the British Geological Survey (“BGS”) at their laboratory in Keyworth, near Nottingham. The test results demonstrate that graphitic carbon contents vary from 20.5% to 35.4%, with an overall mean graphitic carbon content of 28.7%, significantly higher than the previously reported historic average grade of 20% and higher than most reported advanced graphite projects globally. The graphite exists in various morphologies, ranging from fine-grained specular forms to large discrete crystals, to agglomerations which span areas of up to 15 mm in size. Measurements of the discrete graphite flakes suggests that the mean flake-size varies from 300-500 µm (‘Jumbo’) to 180-300 µm (‘Large’), however the single most common flake size is in fact ‘Super-Jumbo’ (>500 µm). The larger flake sizes attract a premium in the market.

Ps it's the Jumbo sized flakes that the Chinese and the rest of the world are desperate for.....one of the key component ingredient for state of the art lithium battery technology. Greenland could be a game-changer for Alba.....as we all know that Brockham and HH could be transformational. Gla holders.;-)

and no doubt the Chinese would be very interested in a JV with Alba if indeed the results are exciting and encouraging.........as expected by the snide lowlife sharebasher.....a JV with a Chinese multi-billion dollar rare earth specialist would send Alba's share price into orbit......Gla BIG news expected imminently from Brockham and Greenland......Significant upside very likely!!! ;-)

2016 was an eventful year for China’s intensifying engagement with Greenland: A blocked attempt to buy a derelict naval base; controversy over the size of a state-linked company’s share in a uranium project; progress towards establishing the world’s northernmost mine. A year ago, no actual Chinese investment existed. Now money has changed hands, permits are being awarded and China is becoming a major player in Greenland’s development. That involvement is also starting to be received differently in Nuuk and Copenhagen.

Lol.....the resident sharebasher is back from under his stone.....the Graphite mine produced over 5000 tons back in the early 20th century......no helicopters at that time, they used ships to export the Graphite as the mine site is on the coast. Gla holders BIG news coming and they don't want you invested. ;-)

Location
The historic mine is located on the coast of an island located 15 km north of Nanortalik town and heliport. Access is by helicopter or boat. The Nalunaq gold mine, operated until recently by Angel Mining PLC, is located 18 km to the north-east of the former mine. Licence 2013/06, which encompasses the former Amitsoq graphite mine, covers a land area of 146 km² and encompasses the whole of Amitsoq island and the mainland to the east of Nanortalik.

Historic Exploration and Production
Greenland has a long history of graphite mining. The Amitsoq graphite mine was an open-cut operation between 1914 and 1924 and produced ca. 5,500 tonnes at an average grade of 20 per cent graphite. The graphite was sent to Copenhagen for final processing. Other than a local government funded mineral inventory and potential study in 1986, conducted by Danish company A/S Nielson, no other graphite exploration or development has taken place in the licence area since production ceased. Metallurgical testwork on behalf of A/S Nielson reported some flakes reaching a maximum of 15 mm (“super jumbo" flake size), with the average flake size being 0.2-0.3 mm (+60 mesh, or “jumbo" flake size).

god the ramping here is relentless. He just never stops. Regarding Greenland and the "tranformational potential" claimed by the out-and-out ramper moneymunch bear in mind Alba paid £150,000 for 41% of this licence in Novemember. That gives an idea how much its worth. Think buttons. Also the state of exploration on this licence is at the "aerial survey" stage. You can't get much earlier stage than that. Also you need to hire a helicopter to get to the licence area. Let's just say its a bit on the remote side. Of course the results will be "encouraging" or "exciting". They always are because they need to raise a shed load of cash to progress the licence. Limerick the same.

Rns from GUN this morning.

Hamish Harris, executive Chairman of the Company, commented: "This fundraise allows us to make a further substantial investment into Zenith Energy which we believe offers substantial upside opportunity for the Company. We also keenly await the results of the workover program which should begin shortly. Likewise results from drilling at the Brockham licence in the Weald basin should be released soon which the company has exposure to via Alba Mineral Resources plc. Any success should also impact the value of our 2% stake in Horse Hill Developments Ltd by further validating the results from the Horse Hill well drilled by UKOG. The Company is also in discussion with other parties with respect to possible investments and we will update shareholders as appropriate regarding this. In short 2017 looks a very exciting time for the Company with plenty of near term drilling providing scope for a substantial rerating of the Company".

I've posted Holyroller's post from the Angus bb below, which is a hypothetical scenario on production sharing between Brockham and HH....which will not happen imho as Ukog and whoever gets control of Mpet's 35% will want to keep HH independant and separate, but what the post does highlight is Alba's amazing upside potential commensurate to the 14.75% combined HH and Brockham interest regardless of any production sharing, against a market cap 6 plus times less than Ukog's and 5 plus times less than Angus's. ....and Holyroller's figures are on a very conservative combined flow of 1000bopd ..and so market caps taken into account and REAL % interest held...Alba potential revenue looks transformational ...and of course with Greenland and Ireland to come.....Alba looks like the best risk reward with undoubted multi-bag potential from their bargain low and tiny market cap. Gla holders. ....any time now!!! ;-))))

Angus
HH Production Sharing Agreement A Horse Hill production sharing agreement would be brilliant for Angus. They would demand 50% of revenue from sharing and would also have to be operator. Even if they had to share on a pro-rata basis with the other Brockham partners then they would make more money than anyone else involved in the drill. To try and spin this as in any way negative to Angus is just laughable. Just to give an idea of how well Angus would do from a production sharing agreement then just look at the figures: Brent Crude is currently $57 per barrel Assume the costs of production at $22 per barrel Profit: $35 per barrel Revenue of $35 per barrel would be split 50:50 between the HH players and the Brockham players.

This would generate the following revenue per barrel of oil ($35):

HH Players

GUN: 1.3% = $0.23
RGM: 3.25% = $0.57
SOLO: 6.5% = $1.14
PRIM: 6.5% = $1.14
ALBA: 9.75% = $1.71
UKOG: 31.2% = $5.46
DOR: 6.5% = $1.14
MAGELLAN 35% = $6.13

Brockham Players

DOR : 10% = $1.75 (total revenue $2.89)
ALBA: 5% = $0.88 (total revenue $2.58)
ANGS: 65% = $11.38

With the exception of Magellan, Angus would make more than twice as much per barrel as any of the HH players for drilling oil which is not even theirs. Rather interestingly they would also make 10 times more on a single barrel of oil than PRIM would… If the oil flowed at 1,000 bopd then everyone would make the following money per annum:

GUN: $83,038
RGM: $207,954
SOLO: $415,188 PRIM: $415,188
ALBA: $942,156
UKOG: $1,992,900 DOR: $1,053,938
MAGELLAN $2,235,625 ANGS: $4,151,875

Of course, for this production sharing agreement to happen then Angus would need to think it is a good idea. Since they now own 65% of Brockham and (even more importantly) 75% of the voting rights for the next 12 months on anything Brockham related then they can pass any resolutions that they want with regard to Brockham with no need to care about whether any of the other partners object or not. Any production sharing deal would be done to maximise the benefit to Angus and nobody else, and make no mistake, if there is any reality to this suggestion, Angus hold all of the cards in any negotiation as they do not need Horse Hill unless it is made worth their while. The HH players on the other hand know that the only way of generating any revenue from their asset before December 2018 is to ask Angus to drill it for them. When you bear in mind that Angus would still be producing from their own license while generating money from doing what the HH players are not able to do on their own then that is a win by any reckoning… I have no idea if this will happen but, if it does, then Angus will be the big winners as they hold all the cards.

Alba Mineral Resources plc (AIM: ALBA) is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed an extensive airborne electromagnetic (EM) survey at the Amitsoq graphite project in southern Greenland, targeting graphite zones and extensions of the former graphite mine at Amitsoq, nickel and platinum group elements to the north of the former mine as well as potential gold targets on the mainland to the south of Amitsoq island.

Our contractor has now commenced the processing of the data acquired in the survey. Further developments will be announced as and when they are available.

----------------------------------

The principal objective is to establish and prove up the continuity of the known graphite deposit and former graphite mine, both along strike and at depth

The EM survey will also target:

known Nickel-Platinum Group Element anomalies on Amitsoq island

Gold targets further south along strike from a known gold deposit and former gold mine

By the use of the deep penetration EM system selected, Alba seeks to fast-track the exploration and development of the Amitsoq Project.

The Amitstoq prospect is here. Including maps and photos and history and future plans....gla holders. ..significant upside beckons. :-)
