No one is selling in volume, the traders and short term punters have been stripped away over the last few weeks as they've taken their profit or nervously cashed in.....and their shares have been consistently mopped up along the way.....the majority of shares are obviously being held very tightly indeed in anticipation of news from Brockham and Greenland etc....and so with very little free float it doesn't take many buys to get the share price up......I'm expecting a surge or two North as the likelihood of news gets closer.....and those in the know could start piling in on the hint of the next Rns.....gla holders Exciting times and significant upside more than likely from this bargain low.....Alba's £7m market cap is peanuts given the potential of so much recoverable oil, not too mention the graphite and gold etc etc etc.....On and Up!!! :-)

The most exciting period ahead as the continued progress made by Alba with newsflow that's expected imminently from Brockham, Greenland, Ireland and HH thereafter that will confirm further progress as each prospect comes closer to fruition....Free flowing limestones at Brockham will be well received and early indications are that Gas could also be in volume in the Corillian, Regulatory Approval from Greenland will be big news and the gold data analysis is also expected as well as the lateral extent and depth of the graphite zones and extensions, HH permit approval for the ewt's will be massive.....we can then look forward to multiple newsflow as each zone is tested that will confirm to the market exactly how much oil is recoverable. ...Alba also plan to start drilling this year in Greenland and so if graphite and gold is abundance then there is every chance of a JV......an update is also expected on Limericks Zinc and lead, another JV could also be likely there given the high price of Zinc and the interest from several major players already in the area.......Alba's prospects and potential look better than most, and from their bargain share price and £7m market cap the potential upside will be transformational as positive news and data arrives throughout the year. Gla holders exciting times and a multi-bag in the making. :')

Upgrade in OIP in the Portland but more importantly that HH PRODUCTION is planned from the KIMMERIDGE as well as the Portland in 2018, which corrects DL's assumption in his recent interview that HH production could take 2,3,4 years, a point he made to highlight Brockham's instant Production potential. Gla holders Permit Approval next....a defining moment for HH's development with the start of the eagerly awaited extended flowtest, with results and data released zone by zone throughout the year. Full market focus and investor interest all the way as they confirm the the potential breathtaking recoverable volume of the sweetest crude....with the price of oil on the rise. :-))))

"Upon the expected grant of the necessary regulatory consents, the Company is fully geared to start long term production testing at Horse Hill, commencing with the Portland. Our aim is to move towards a declaration of commerciality and stable long-term production from the Portland and Kimmeridge Limestones by the end of 2018."

Alba Mineral Resources plc

("Alba" or the "Company")

Upgrade to Portland Oil Resources, Horse Hill Oil Discovery, PEDL137, Weald Basin, UK

Highlights

· Xodus calculate Portland sandstone P50 Oil in Place ("OIP") of 32 million barrels ("MMbbl"), a 53% increase from the 21 MMbbl previously reported prior to successful 2016 flow testing

· Gross recoverable Portland 2C Contingent Resources 1.5 MMbbl

· Base Case Portland initial oil-rate estimated at 350 barrels of oil per day ("bopd") per well

• Ultimate recovery could be increased by a further 8-14% of OIP via early implementation of a water re-injection scheme. If successful, this could represent a 114%-440% addition to 2C recoverable resources, equating to an additional 1.7-6.6 MMbbl gross recoverable, or 0.5-2.1 MMbbl net to the Company

· Work plans now aimed towards Portland long-term production by end 2018

Alba Mineral Resources plc (AIM: ALBA) announces that a new Report by Xodus Group Ltd ("Xodus") calculates the Horse Hill Portland sandstone conventional oil accumulation to contain an OIP of 32 MMbbl, an increase of 53% from the previously reported 21 MMbbl of May 2015. The upgrade results from the incorporation of Nutech's revised petrophysics, as reported in July 2016. As previously stated by the Company, OIP should not be misconstrued as recoverable Contingent Resources or reserves, which are detailed below.

Alba holds a 15% shareholding in HHDL, which in turn owns 65% of PEDL137 and PEDL246. Alba's direct attributable interest in these Licences is therefore 9.75%.

In March 2016 HHDL reported the final Horse Hill-1 ("HH-1") Portland test flowed at a stable dry oil rate of 323 bopd, producing light, sweet, 35 API gravity crude. The Portland was produced at the rod-pump's maximum achievable rate and thus flow was constrained by the pump's mechanical capacity. The test data analyses show no clear indication of depletion.

As a result of further analysis of the Portland flow test data, plus a review of similar producing fields, Xodus now assess the gross recoverable Portland 2C Contingent resources at 1.5 MMbbl. Calculated OIP and resources reflect oil contained in the entire Portland structure, as penetrated by the HH-1 and Collendean Farm -1 wells.

The Contingent Resource volumes given are those estimated to be attributable to primary recovery from the Portland reservoir. Results utilise a base case of three wells, draining both the Horse Hill and Collendean Farm fault blocks, each well with an initial production rate of 350 bopd.

The report also details that, for a shallow but permeable reservoir such as the Portland, should a water re-injection scheme be undertaken to provide pressure support in the field's early productive life, it is reasonable to expect a material increment in overall oil recovery. The successful implementation of such a scheme is estimated to lead to the recovery of an additional 8-14% of OIP, equivalent to a further 1.7-6.6 MMbbl of gross recoverable oil.

A summary of the Report's results is shown in tables 1 and 2 below.

As previously reported in October 2016, HHDL submitted a planning application to Surrey County Council for an extensive HH-1 appraisal programme, including long-term production testing and a new deviated well, HH-2, designed to access the Portland in both the HH-1 and Collendean Farm-1 proven oil-bearing fault blocks.

¹ Xodus Report states recovery could likely be improved by a further 8-14% of OIP via an early water re-injection scheme

HH-1 Oil Discovery, Location and Company Interest

The HH-1 oil discovery well is located within onshore exploration Licence PEDL137, on the northern side of the Weald Basin near Gatwick Airport. HHDL owns a 65% interest in PEDL137 (as well as in PEDL246) and is the licence's operator.

Michael Nott, Alba's CEO, commented:

"We are very encouraged by the report's conclusions, particularly with respect to the significant further oil recovery that could be obtained from a simple water re-injection scheme. Such reservoir schemes have been in oil field engineering use for well over 100 years and are typical practice in similar reservoirs in the US, but have not been widely utilised in the Weald Basin."

"Upon the expected grant of the necessary regulatory consents, we eagerly await the start of long-term production testing at Horse Hill, commencing with the Portland. The Horse Hill consortium's aim is to move towards a declaration of commerciality and stable long-term production from the Portland and Kimmeridge Limestones by the end of 2018."

Hmmm. I'm surprised Angus did not wait till after the Brockham results before doing the placing. After all they are going to be amazing right? It makes you wonder. Why raise now? Could it be, whisper it, that Brockham is not all it's cracked up to be? GLA.

Lol nothing wrong with raising funds to develop their assets to increase shareholder value , Angus know they're on to a winner, and the Holmwood Farm in show's supreme confidence in what they have at Brockham and what they're getting at Holmwood.....their share price will bounce soon enough. Gla holders......news expected for Alba on all fronts. ;-)

Yes Angus know what they've got at Brockham and that's why they placed shares at 20% below their current share price. A good example of what happens to shareholders when a share price gets ramped up. GLA.

Angus Farm In Holmwood.

Angus know what they've got at Brockham, and the reservoirs extend into Holmwood only 4 miles away.......Holmwood also lies on the up dip at a higher point, Leith Hill is the highest point above sea level in the South East...and so presumably any gas accumulation would be higher on the up dip....and so the gas encountered at Brockham could be in significant commercial volume across both license area's, as well as the likelihood of free flowing oil in the Kimmeridge limestones.....this could be big.......... Gla ;-)

ps The Albury gas discovery lies a few miles further east from Holmwood........there could be breathtaking volume.

Last weeks update from Brockham confirms that gas was encountered in the Corillian and was highlighted by DL several times, and would be highly significant if confirmed in commercial volume.....perhaps something similar to Albury c11 miles away from Brockham. Gla ;-)

"We are pleased to learn that hydrocarbon shows, which we understand were missed in the previous drilling by BP in 1987, have been encountered in the Portland and the three Kimmeridge target intervals. The reported oil and gas shows in the underlying Corallian are also very encouraging.

DL

"All zones that we were looking for on the log analysis and the work we have done have identified hydrocarbons and in particular gas.

"Now over the course of the next week or three we will be releasing the results of the log work and maturity analysis and the whole concept of the weald limestones in the Kimmeridge naturally fractured like it was at Horse Hill."

Surrey County Council has approved gas extraction at Albury on 13 July

Surrey County Council approved gas extraction at Albury. The local county councillor, Keith Taylor, both spoke and voted in favour of the motion, apparently noting “locally it is not seen as a big issue”.

Surrey County Council has backed plans by IGas to convert an exploration site near Guildford to gas production.

This morning, members of the planning committee voted by eight to two to approve the company’s application to produce compressed natural gas at Albury.

The site, where gas exploration has been carried out intermittently since 1987, is in the Green Belt and the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has nature and landscape protections.

Councillors accepted the advice of planning officers that national policy to maximise the exploitation of oil and gas amounted to exceptional or special circumstances and that they outweighed any harm from the development to the surrounding area.

a possibility mostly based on DL's interview comments last week......8 or 10 zones to be tested is a lot of information in one hit, and also his wording "over the COURSE of the next week or three"...... might also be suggestive of zone by zone??? Gl ;-)

“We were originally talking about testing six zones. We might be testing eight or ten now.”

More upward momentum in share price very likely in anticipation of news from Brockham, Greenland, Ireland and HH.......Angus may decide to release data on each zone tested, zone by zone for maximum impact and added value, and so maybe an early update on the oil and gas in the deeper Corillian first, and then the Kimmeridge limestones etc thereafter......Confirmation of Regulatory Approval from Greenland will be the catalyst for full market focus with Alba planning to drill this year, and we're still awaiting the data analysis on the gold targets as well as the extent and depth of the graphite zones and extensions....and so news also expected.......Super Jumbo Sized Graphite Flakes in abundance will be attractive to many a potential JV suitor.......Gla Holders On and Up!!! ;-)

Regulatory approval from Greenland authorities for full control of the Amitsoq graphite and gold project expected soon, along with full data analysis of the gold targets and the lateral extent and depth of the graphite targets......Alba plan to drill this year and so any news of a JV would send the share price into orbit. Gla holders; -)

"The initial results from the airborne geophysical survey are very promising. We expected to find anomalies in the vicinity of the historic Amitsoq graphite mine, and this has been confirmed by the survey. What is most exciting is the discovery of numerous linear anomalies running in a general north-easterly direction away from the mine area. These are suggestive of the presence of a highly conductive unit that can continue laterally for up to 1300 metres at a time. The identification in particular of 11 conductor axes amounting in aggregate to 5.5 kilometres of strike provides us with significant priority targets for follow up work."

"The survey results to date vindicate the Alba Board's decision to invest in the Amitsoq Project, the fundamentals of which were already strong, comprising as it does a former producing mine, with high grade graphite (average content 28.7% graphitic carbon) and a preponderance of high value, Jumbo to Super Jumbo flakes."

"The next phase of exploration will involve further processing of the geophysical data which is already underway, followed by ground verification of targets and the planning of a drilling programme for later this year."
