26/7/2024 10:26 | Perky. And why not.. the shares have not kept pace with the underlying growth of the business over the last 5 years. A period of catch-up would seem to be underway | weemonkey
19/7/2024 14:31 | AJ Bell plc posted a trading update for the 3 months ended 30 June 2024 yesterday. Assets under administration closed at £83.7 billion, up 20% over the last year and 4% in the quarter. Customer numbers increased by 25,000 in the quarter to close at 528,000, up 13% in the last year and 5% in the quarter. The share price is in a solid uptrend, valuation is no longer cheap with forward PE ratio around 21.4x, but the share has traded on significantly higher multiples in recent years so valuation is not yet prohibitive either. The balance sheet is strong with negative net debt, dividend yield is average. AJB ticks a lot of the right boxes and it is currently in a clear uptrend. 18/7/2024 10:03 | Another great update today. This is now a serious growth company that has consistently, had great results and updates for the last 5 years. Yet, it is priced 20% under all the all-time high of 5 years ago. And 5 years ago EPS, profits and turnover were less than half what they are now. I hesitate to use the word, but... cheap. | undervaluedassets
19/6/2024 10:22 | AJB could be next? | ochs
18/6/2024 20:27 | What is happening to HL is pure crazy. It's so undervalued but is being taken out of | growthpotential
25/5/2024 09:16 | We were trading at 50-60x for most of 2019. We've now had a period of consolidation and hopefully are now approaching p/e expansion again. | junior21
24/5/2024 14:18 | But growth is currently accelerating isn't it?So I agree was expensive in 2019 (42 times eps?). Now in 2024 .. with growth accelerating...cheap | weemonkey
24/5/2024 11:28 | Then again they were on a very high P/E in 2019. | ochs
24/5/2024 08:21 | Interim EPS have nearly quintupled since 2019 now. Have the shares quintupled? I think not.. | undervaluedassets
24/5/2024 08:07 | he owns circa 25% of the equity which yesterday I calculated was worth some 417 million quid So 30 million is chicken feed.. He is entitled. AJB has grown operating profits a lot faster lately than Hargreaves ..130% operating profit growth over last 4 years as opposed to 28% for Hargreaves. Lot further to run on these as has been so ignored over the last 5 years | undervaluedassets
23/5/2024 22:37 | So Andy Bell off loading about £30m worth of stock after today's big rise - he'll most likely get close to £4 a share, but guessing the price will fall back tomor as a result. | ochs
23/5/2024 11:14 | I think the rise is more due to the approach for Hargreaves, rather than the interims. Yes, the numbers were very good, but the market already knew what to expect after the trading update last month. Let's hope there is more to come. Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
23/5/2024 08:40 | Woohoo, about time AJB. Faith has been awarded to all long term holders. | wsm812
23/5/2024 07:09 | Great results, should fly! Very strong financial performance, with revenue up 27% to £131.3 million (HY23: £103.6 million) and profit before tax (PBT) up 47% to £61.4 million (HY23: £41.9 million) | blondviking
29/4/2024 15:24 | So cheap.. Has been hugely successful but the price has been insipid. I wonder if that will now change after recent numbers. Prime candidate to be taken out by a predator one would think. Update 01/05/24 .. upgrade from UBS | undervaluedassets
12/12/2023 12:36 | The FTSE 100 advanced as jobs and wages data brought hopes that policymakers were a step closer to an interest rate cut, but Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) tumbled as the City watchdog ordered retail brokers to stop ripping off customers on their cash balances. | navigo
12/12/2023 08:59 | Looks like AJ Bell has more work to do than HL to justify fair value. Hargreaves Lansdown (10k to 50k)ISAs 2.95% SIPPs 3.65%.Hargreaves Lansdown more than 100k cash)ISAs 3.70% SIPPs 4.20%.AJ Bell (above 10k) ISAs 2.45% SIPPs 3.70%. | boros10
12/12/2023 08:48 | Shouldn't make much difference unless they decide that it has to be backdated. | encarter

07/12/2023 13:30 | AJB has had good results for years now. Today's are the best ever and have beaten expectations. Maybe finally, the shares will 'catch a breeze'; they have gone sideways or down for the last 4 years Given the strong growth profile over the same period, they deserve to multi-bag. Maybe you could have argued that they were expensive 4 years ago. Well, they are just plain cheap now. | weemonkey
07/12/2023 10:24 | Wow. They look cracking figures to me. Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
07/12/2023 10:21 | Excellent results this morning as reflected in share price! | lancasterbomber
06/12/2023 09:41 | Any takeover would be well north of £3. I think yesterday's rise was just a bounce off strong long term support around 245/250p. Also the German 40 hit a new all time high - so good news for assets under management at all brokers. | ochs |
