22/4/2021 08:03 | And the share price falls... Salty | saltaire111
22/4/2021 08:00 | Just to clarify Salty's post - you're talking about the (relatively) small Fund Management part of the business (AJ Bell Investments). The main headline figures were Assets under administration ("AUA") increased to £65.2 billion, up 35% over the last year and 4% in the quarter. Total customer numbers increased to 346,797, up 32% over the last year and 11% in the quarter, with total net inflows in the quarter of £1.5 billion (2020: £1.3 billion). | ochs
22/4/2021 07:52 | I presume I'm right in thinking that this must be another close period, where the company and its directors are not allowed to trade shares? This usually occurs betweeen the end of the accounting period (31st March) and announcement of results, scheduled for 27th May. So hopefully we aren't going to see any imminent large sales flooding the market with stock which depresses the price. Good luck meveryone, Sid. | eaaxs06
22/4/2021 07:41 | I know there was high expectations for the last half year, but (as Salty has just said) the numbers are quite exceptional. Even better, is the words from Andy Bell that momentum remains strong going into the current half year. Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
22/4/2021 07:35 | Bloody hell: -- Net inflows in the quarter were GBP311 million, up 132% on the prior year (2020: GBP134 million) -- Assets under management ("AUM") increased to GBP1.4 billion, up 180% over the last year and 40% in the quarter Astonishing growth! Salty | saltaire111
21/4/2021 21:26 | Let’s hope that the price bounces tomorrow and the directors’ wives do not sell! Salty | saltaire111
21/4/2021 08:31 | Let's hope the trading update tomorrow will help things along. Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
21/4/2021 08:10 | Can we push on toward 500p, been a long time coming this move higher. | its the oxman
16/4/2021 18:47 | @orchid5 Agree that there is a massive bubble (IMHO) with the crypto market ... not for me as I don't understand the huge price movements. Better to stick to companies that have traditional earnings ... | peterbill
15/4/2021 19:49 | But AJB has a PE. Is there a PE for cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, just launched onto the Nasdaq with an initial valuation of $99.6bn (£72.5bn)? Investors’ appetite for the modern version of tulip mania seems unabated - that's what I see as risk. hxxps://amsterdamtul | orchid5
15/4/2021 14:40 | Yes, the PE for AJB is rather high, but the extra risk with HL is potential for Woodford related litigation. Even if the risk is fairly slim the market never likes a risk of litigation. | ochs
15/4/2021 09:39 | Compare AJB v HL AJB.LYear high: 487.00p Year low: 292.50p Market Cap: £1.88 bn P/E ratio: 47.17 Dividend yield: 1.35% HL.LYear high: 1,923.00p Year low: 1,324.00p Market Cap: £7.81 bn P/E ratio: 28.32 Dividend yield: 2.28% AJB - PE ratio of 47 a little worrying ? | peterbill
15/4/2021 09:07 | Come on AJB per ardua ad astra! | nehemiah37
14/4/2021 13:53 | Let's hope that 450p level has finally been broken (and held) as we've been trading above it for the past 4 hours or so. It looks to me that the price still wants to go higher, running up to those figures next week. Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
12/4/2021 12:53 | The share price has been knocking on the door of 450p for the past 3 hours, remarkable resistance, with loads of small trades triggered (buying and selling) at that point. Surely it has to break through sometime soon, then we move swiftly higher? Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
06/4/2021 16:38 | I'm asssuming there will be a 'closed period' running up to the interim figures in mid May where the directors are not allowded to trade? If that is correct, this would normally be for 5 weeks/1 month, so if they are going to offload more shares they will have to do it quickly. Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
06/4/2021 15:49 | Looks like Ox’s spike is happening. And £4.50 is within sight again. Hopefully the Directors will keep their shares and not start offloading. Salty. | saltaire111
03/4/2021 10:20 | Expecting this to spike up soon if markets stay robust. | its the oxman
01/4/2021 21:35 | Good to see a Director buying shares. Makes a refreshing change! | saltaire111
01/4/2021 10:22 | Looking for near term break of 450p , feels like plenty of catch up to be had. | its the oxman
29/3/2021 09:04 | The virus situation is still unpredictable. | supremetwo
29/3/2021 08:49 | Perhaps people are waiting to see if the Directors start selling as happened post results on the last few occasions....... GLA 😎 | hawaly
29/3/2021 08:36 | Should be over 450p, doing better than ever, don’t understand it | mrbeaky
29/3/2021 08:19 | Hope today's positive update can spark some life into the current share price, be nice to get back above 420p for starters. | its the oxman
14/3/2021 22:18 | With the wider market moving up we seem well overdue a bounce here. Thought we were a geared play on higher markets. | its the oxman |
