19/1/2021 08:46 | News of ajbell trading update on Thursday has obviously been leaked. | ![]() robbie1424
18/1/2021 13:50 | Will be interesting to see how AJB traded in the final quarter of 2020 in Thursday’s trading update. The spread-betters have done exceptionally well, with volumes through the roof so that bodes well for AJB. Salty | ![]() saltaire111
13/1/2021 22:41 | Looks like it’s going to do it. Pushed £4.50 again today. Surely there are no more director sales to come in the next few months so, with bated breath, I’ll look forward to seeing the green and pleasant uplands of £4.60 soon. | ![]() saltaire111
07/1/2021 18:14 | Been playing with a break of 450p area for almost a year. Suspect it will go soon if markets hold current levels so inclined to buy c.430p. If you able to get in lower even better but not sure it will get close to 400p without a main market tumble. | ![]() its the oxman
06/1/2021 13:15 | Clearly directors (and Invesco before them) see 450p as the current medium term top. I would be a buyer again if it dropped below 380p. | ![]() ochs
06/1/2021 12:48 | Frustrating share! When will we defeat £4.50? When the directors stop cashing in shares!!! | ![]() saltaire111
31/12/2020 15:14 | Still plenty of fund managers buying them. They can see a similar pattern as HL i.e. 10 baggers! | ![]() supremetwo
31/12/2020 12:20 | Not surprising when even the boss decides to sell! | ![]() ochs
31/12/2020 10:11 | That 450p is one hard nut to crack. What a frustrating end to the year. | ![]() mrbeaky
31/12/2020 09:29 | Well this is a bit of a disappointing end to the year. Back below £4.50 again. I hope that the recent rally in expectation of Brexit and the Covid vaccines was not another buy in anticipation and sell the realisation moment. Happy New Year all. Salty | ![]() saltaire111
30/12/2020 10:39 | I’m not in the least bit surprised that Andy Bell is cashing a few shares in, given what he said at the Annual Results Q&A only a fortnight ago. He went to great lengths to support and understand those who had recently sold a few shares, so it was the worlds worst kept secret that he would be next. I was very impressed at how well he spoke and he tackled anything that was put to him. I’m sure he was pre-warned as to what was going to be asked, but he answered everything very well, taking it in his stride with great confidence. That said, it must be a lot easier answering question when your company has trebled its share price over the past 2 years, so anything he said would have sounded good. Let’s hope for more to come in 2021. Good luck everybody, and Happy (and prosperous) New Year to all the posters on here. Sid. | ![]() eaaxs06
30/12/2020 09:30 | So Andy Bell cashes-in less than 4% of his holding at 4.60 a share. Still holds 93m shares. Consolidation in other areas of the financial services sector has commenced (Direct Line next to go?) so could someone run the rule over AJB? Salty | ![]() saltaire111
29/12/2020 11:14 | just bounced off the all time high... might take a few attempts like it did to get through 450, but then it's blue sky.. | ![]() steve73
24/12/2020 13:11 | Nice to see AJB close the year above £4.50. Let’s hope it’s the start of a trend! Merry Christmas fellow ADVFN addicts. Salty | ![]() saltaire111
23/12/2020 10:50 | Well, if I was a trader, I know what I should be doing. But I won't. Good luck everybody, and have a great Xmas, Sid. | ![]() eaaxs06
17/12/2020 22:15 | If I were a trader, rather than an investor, there are two shares that could trade beautifully. One is AJB. Buy at just over four quid, and sell at four pounds fifty! And repeat. The other share is Direct Line. Buy DL two weeks after the share goes ex-d and then sell just before the share goes ex-d again. Salty. | ![]() saltaire111
17/12/2020 15:27 | I'm not sure what happened, but lovely, steady price rise from 11 O'clock today. I just hope we don't see too much of a sell off now we've hit 450p, as has happened several times in the recent past. Good luck everybody, Sid. | ![]() eaaxs06
07/12/2020 09:39 | Tend to agree. Their site doesn't recognise new float today HEIQ so unable to trade. | oilplays
05/12/2020 09:42 | Rise in fees, platform flaky, boss saying don't expect to be able to trade all the time when the market is volatile (ie our system can't handle and we are not prepared to invest to change that) ....as a director I think I would be selling now too. Its time AJBell invested in its customers, not charge them more for providing a mediocre service. These guys need a reality check. | ![]() melody9999
04/12/2020 17:37 | Plenty of fund managers wanting AJB shares. | ![]() orchid5
04/12/2020 16:45 | I don’t blame them for cashing in. They’ve done a great job and delivered excellent results. Salty. | ![]() saltaire111
04/12/2020 14:46 | End of tax year is 5th April, so still 4 months away! | ![]() ochs
04/12/2020 10:02 | IIRC, that was the end of the lock-in periods for the early investors... so there shouldn't be any incentive to offload in big chunks... but of course they can sell out steadily now if they chose. | ![]() steve73
04/12/2020 09:51 | This is rapidly ruining my day... | ![]() saltaire111 |
