...........I don't hold car insurers and insurers in general in any high regard whatsoever, but my eldest daughter is insured with ADM. Their customer service has been excellent, they have been very helpful, and a minor shunt a few months back was dealt with immediately without any loss of no-claims to either party.

When my insurance expires next spring it's ADM for me.

Jon,

Can only assume due to market weakness and possibility that ADM may disappoint in growth. Past growth has been pretty solid but the market will, ultimately be saturated with many seeking fewer customers. I know that Aviva has seen decent growth on it's car insurance business - funnily enough I have my main car insured with Aviva as they offered a better deal than I could find on confused.com - I was a holder before my insurance renewal!!

Not great coverage. These cases are relatively few when you consider there are more than 2.5 million customers - surprising then that for a couple of £k it could have avoided bad publicity.

I am invested in Admiral and it has been nothing but a disaster from start to finish.

Not very Admirable

Its not just Admiral though. My impression is a lot of insurance companies are trying to wriggle out of their obligations by using the small print. People who have not reported the tiniest detail about for example a speeding ticket or a minor claim 5 years ago will find they are 'not covered' especially if a large payout is required following an accident. Low premiums may look attractive but in fact they may just be money down the drain.

I certainly wouldn't buy Admiral shares and it may still be a good short at the current level.

There can be no doubt that all financial companies based in the uk, be they bank, insurer or otherwise are totally currupt and completley without morals.

I hope they all go to the wall and all associated directors suffer a slow a painful death.

Remember how appalled everyone was when that kid was mugged live on sky news during the riots.

All uk financial companies are just the same in my opinion.

Small toe in at 1250p. Reasonable possibility of seeing 1230p. Technical shows low of 1100p. If that breaks then I'm out.Looking for a bounce back to 1350p to sell at.
