As I posted to another board - All these lockdowns are political with every government trying to outdo the other. Boris is scared sh1tless that he’s going to go down in history as the one who broke the nhs hence his ott mismanagement of the current situation.Lockdown by stealth thanks to the spotlight hungry so-called science advisers, even though the cold is acknowledged as being just that!spud

Have to agree with Pierre (for once ;-) ) and like the t cell reference.

I see no evidence of overloaded hospitals, severely ill people, raging infectiousness wherever I travel in the North West. I'm confident stocks will rise once it becomes evident the problems with staff shortages affecting the NHS is self-inflicted by the 10-day isolation requirement.

25% chance of short sharp lockdown after christmas is my guess.

Will be a great time to buy everything the day after that announcement, if it comes.

Since not many seem to be dying or even going to hospital, omnicrom could turn out to be a storm in a t cell.

If it's good enough for the CEO, the Chair and the CFO at these levels then I suppose I'd best have a few too :-/

Plan 'B' spooked me C.I. This was rushed out to distract away from the Whitehall partying fiasco. Shameful that the cost to the economy will be so large.
I don't subscribe to the Sunday Times so will await the market's response (if any) next week.
