If takeover why not just say been approached no guarantees etc = share price rockets, = option to do placing much higher.

pure guesswork tho, but a suspension does do 1 thing, it stops the slide, maybe a financing of sorts being worked?

Drop in share price would have given other parties pause for thought and makes it much easier to buy if they wanted to. That's the positive way of looking at it anyway.

I'd be surprised if the outcome is positive but it could be.

Exactly DD, even Duncan said that a dillution at the then price of 25p would really not achieve much, my bet is a TO.

It does feel like a consequence of Peyton's presentation. The share price fell so low that even a 100% dilution would not be enough. What options are left is the question.

Timing of suspension is also interesting - something must have come to them in the last few hours otherwise would have suspended first thing this morning.

Some kind of US deal is my guess - given timing.

Maybe when DP did that investor call he had lined up a placement at say 20p, then shares were 24-25p. He didn't thing they would fall below the placement price. Investor now want it for less then it is now, but DP isn't sure that even that price will hold. Get the AGM out the way, have option for massive dilution then get price away.

The options the board nicely arranged for themselves were at 53p, if they are to make any decent money out of it, a TO price would have to be a good deal above that. They then take up their options and walk away making a few million each, that was the whole point of the options anyway, to make sure that they got a decent chunk if the company got bought out!
