Streaming is working but I keep getting kicked off

What is a "browser cache” and why you should occasionally clear it?

When the browser loads up a web page it stores images and the layout of the page on your computers's hard drive. It does this to improve the speed of loading graphics-heavy sites. Occasionally clearing your browsing data including cached files and cookies can inmprove performance and security of browsing internet.

You're asking me to delete all my files! Will I lose anything?

The only files that will be deleted in this operation are your browser's temporary files which won't affect any other documents or applications.

Below are the instructions on how to clear cache and cookies for most common browsers:

Google Chrome
  • Open Chrome
  • At the top right, click More (also represented by 3 dots)
  • Click Settings. On the left pane click Privacy and Security
  • Click Clear browsing data in the middle of the page
  • Select the time range and click Clear Data at the bottom
Firefox
  • Open Firefox
  • Click on the application menu in the upper right corner of the browser
  • Select Settings
  • Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section
  • Click the Clear Data… button. The Clear Data dialog will appear
  • Click Clear
Edge
  • Open Edge
  • Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the browser
  • Choose Settings
  • Under Clear Browsing Data click Choose What To Clear
  • Select the items you wish to clear (e.g., Browsing History, Cookies and Saves Website Date, Cached Data and Files, Downloaded History and Form Data)
  • Click Clear
Safari on Mac
  • Open Safari
  • Click the Safari menu, then Clear History...
  • In the Clear field choose All History
  • Click Clear History

What to do If the mobile app is not loading properly?

The most common troubleshooting step is to try reinstalling the ADVFN application. If that doesn't help and you are still having problems please contact ADVFN Support.
