18/11/2010 19:56 | Many congratulations to all who staid here through thick and thin....sadly I missed the last finale but hope you all did well | seagreen
18/11/2010 14:32 | Fidra. Suggest BHP with their warchest may well be interested | thebaron
18/11/2010 14:11 | Anyone else think there might be a counter offer? I see it says exclusive agreement in the rns looks like we are opening at around $11. Good day .but I have had better . | fidra
18/11/2010 13:53 | Couldn't believe the mms were giving away stock at 470p after the news broke :)) I doubt the Canadians will be so charitable, but anything around $9.50 would be a gift. | pbracken
18/11/2010 13:28 | read in early morning that wtn was worth 709p, well on its way there now.... | andrbea
18/11/2010 12:58 | EENY Take a look at RRR,SRES,MARL,HZM,AA | thebaron
18/11/2010 12:50 | EENY: Charts - VGM may fit the bill..... | lasata
18/11/2010 12:22 | Good day folks. WOW! (I'll limit my excitement at a simple WOW) From my previous purely TA chart reading I had 601p (post 885) as target upside to be achieved on normal daily price movements by January 2011 time period. Then this huge event breaks out. My charts have steered me/us through to the finish line very nicely. I now agree with Pokerbrats view that charts are somewhat irrelevant until this news driven period is concluded. However I think this is the endgame for WTN as I know it. We have had our run, time for profits whether you like it or not. The London chart has been a TA dream. I will miss her (blub blub). I now have to find my next baby. A chore?, Yes but worth the effort in the end. If any of the 'good few' out there can post up some suggestions over the next few days I think we can all have a nosey around and pass due comments. I notice that Fidra had some strong feelings in his waters in post 886 regarding much higher prices on Toronto market. Keep it coming! I'm back over the weekend. 58717 | eenyweeny
18/11/2010 10:57 | This one has been a complete enigma and given i held this through Cambrian in the old days,a hell of a ride.Let's face it,who could have predicted that this would go from £6 to 25p and then back to 7 quid all in the space of a few years .I guess once we got skilled experienced management in,it all started to go right. | steeplejack
18/11/2010 10:41 | Charts are irrelevant now. The bidding process will direct share price until it is resolved. Bit fed up as I had planned to top up today after we put a swing low in yesterday. But still a nice profit on my core holding. I shall miss WTN, it has been a chartists dream over the last few years and by far my most profitable holding. | pokerbrat
18/11/2010 10:38 | Back to the drawing board I think RS2000 | speed camera
18/11/2010 10:30 | Any views from the chartists? Suppose we wont be listing in Ftse then! Wonder if there might be a counter offer although if Audley have agreed the sale thart is a large chunk out of the way. | fidra
18/11/2010 10:22 | I have held this from my original Energybuild shares.. Well happy with the end result! | lardarse69
18/11/2010 09:54 | Now if the blonde girl would have done the podcast.... | mcmather
18/11/2010 09:49 | Hardly anyone has been interested in WTN, I did a podcast on it for iii about a year ago around 120p - which proved quite a failure in media terms, very few listeners. The lack of popular interest, and posts, appears indicative for contrarian investors! | edmondj
18/11/2010 09:44 | doesn't look like it - offer is 'a mixture of cash and Walter shares valued at $11.50 per Western share' So either sell out in the market, or hold some Walter shares on NYSE. PS How many other shares would go up 36% and only have a dozen posts?? | ianbrewster
18/11/2010 09:43 | Not if it goes through. It doesn't say what the cash/ WLT shares split would be. | sammu
18/11/2010 09:33 | Will we continue to trade as WTN? | royalt
18/11/2010 09:19 | See the RNS - a bid / business combination equating to C$11.50; about £7.12 at current rates. | mcmather
18/11/2010 09:15 | Why the sudden rise guys I can't buy anymore at the month won't let me | knight176
18/11/2010 09:14 | 14.30hrs. Hopefully, it'll be around the C$10.50 mark if not a little more? | mcmather
18/11/2010 09:08 | Just a quickie guys, what UK time does the TSX open ? Thanks | alchemy30
18/11/2010 08:41 | I feel mixed, as if possibly letting go a five-year opportunity in a resources supercycle, although it appears a way for Audley finally to realise their stake and they probably learned from 2008 not to be over-greedy the next time around when there is an interested buyer. | edmondj
18/11/2010 08:36 | which only goes to show the dangers of being out...i feel a bottle of champagne coming on (at lunch time!) | waggle |
