The LSE price has just hit the 200 day MA. Like to see it breach that.

1chunk, I appreciate your enthusiasm but could you be more specific?

When will this blow? some dates and time period within which the rise will occur?

What price will it rise to? when will the top likely form? what time period?

what will trigger the blow?

what will maintain the momentum of the blow?

Cheers

thanks DA, agrees with my very basic fundamentals, price was 330p on 21/6, and if anything outlook has strengthened since then.

gap close at 292p looks likely. Target 340p.

Shame the AIM vols are low, I guess they pick up at 2.30pm with the TSX, still looking good and hopefully and changing tide for WTN.

If TSX:WTN carries on from where it left yesterday, 4.00cad is on the cards.

any thoughts as to extent of upside if this holds?

I can't manage to post a chart to explain this but . . .

If you can check your own charting package and then draw a rising trendline;
1) start point at low of 16 March 2009
end point at low of 8 Dec 2009
and extend forwards

2) place a 500 day Exponential MA

I accept that the trendline has broken slightly to the downside but immediately beneath that TL is the 500 dEMA.

Therefore the chart now shows 2 damned good potential supports combining right now at 212p to 215p (on London chart).
Also the larger market has also hit rising trendlines in USA UK etc.
This may only create a shorter term bounce so beware.

Volumes have also improved nicely.
Therefore technically WTN chart has produced a support signal.

I always play to the cautious side and I will await some confirmations, if any.

(I have consumed some beer tonight so please take my opinion with more salt than usual)

Here's the TSX chart.

Strong bounce of the trend line, and finished bang on that downtrend. The volume is the best indicator and it has broken the trend of declining volume since April. The way the volume and buying picked up towards the end of the canadian session, It looked like 3.80cad was going to go and WTN was going to go mad, closing at the intraday high is very positive. WTN has formed a huge wedge and looks set to blow. The stock has come back and tested that strong trend support and bounced and looks set to make progress after getting ahead of itself.

Either way we should be back at 231p tomorrow. Bullish times ahead...hopefully.

Well DouglasAllen, WTN closed at C$3.8 on the TSE and volume was over 7m so that could be bullish.

i've started building a position now the spread has tightened with TSX open.

decent volume and quite firm price on TSX.

if we see 3.58 close or higher on TSX on volume of 5million plus then that is very bullish and potentially WTN will have broken out of the downtrend.

the spread is what's keeping me out. if the spread was tightened I might take a position.

DouglasAllen, I am watching the same thing.
There is a collection of usually good quality support patterns dead ahead on WTN charts with my last line of defence being the 185p line I have mentioned previously. I await to see confirmations of any turn around. This could be nicely rewarding IF. . .

Nearing a buy, almost on the trend line. I will take a position around 215p mark.

My time period is complete for my previous analysis and I see nothing new in my charts. No buy signal. No new support or news. So I am staying out until I see a positive change.

The purchase of 533,738 shares in London at 15.17 today shows someone has the confidence to invest £1million+ in WTN at this price level. Just about on the 50% line.

looks like a test of 225p is coming, with the low liquidity and large spread this could easily go to the trend line, possibly touch intraday of 185p if stops are triggered.

Poor liquidity Douglas? Start looking at TSE:WTN instead of LSE:WTN and PLUS:WTN.GB. The TSE is where the VAST MAJORITY of WTN shares are bought and sold.
