The company should just concentrate on reducing expenditure, increasing efficiency and not taking on any further risks.

I'll believe it when I see it, who will blink first comes to mind, this is just hot air any suggestion of reducing output pushes oil up, and that is what they want.

I don't think this news is catalyst for share price increase on mon. Its not earnings enhancing in the short term, couple years before mine becomes productive. Likely to be a drain on capex during that time.

Vedanta has won India's first ever auction of a gold mine,this is great news I feel as gold is starting technical breakout of a new bull market. And India as a country is a major gold bug. COME ON VED

Your right brokers keep coming out with forecasts that have no relevance to the SP, they just need to show they are doing something for their over inflated salaries.

As for India I would be surprised if they do impose tariffs, that may backfire with china imposing tariffs on Indian goods.

The biggest problem is central banks are trying to create growth and its not working, the more they pump into the system the worse it gets and when this all goes pop it will be an almighty bang that could reshape the capitalist system as we know it. G20 are putting their heads together this weekend just hope they don't come up with a wooden hut.

I never even bother reading broker ratings anymore. Its not an exact science (they would all have consensus otherwise) and in a lot of cases have ulterior motives. In 18 months, this will be trading above £5. (IMO). In the short term, if the indian gov't imposes tariffs on the Chinese dumping cheap aluminium into India, this would be a catalyst for price rise. Likewise if they removed 10% export duties on iron ore exports.

Exactly pixi Looks like we made a good call last week eh. ! Long may it continue I expect a little retrace 1st thing tomorrow before rising again towards 300p but having said that the chart is showing free fall from 355 to 288 late last year so I expect very little resistance once it passes 288p imo
