lost nay on 3/4 of it's value in a few months and it can't even manage a 5% bounce....is there a massive cash call on the way?

Another one destined to go bust in the sector, far too many over valued commodity plays still hanging on for dear life.

Bigger picture...

The market watcher asserts that "debt-driven asset bubble implosions (such as the GFC) cannot merely be 'fixed' with even more debt and another round of central bank-driven asset bubbles."

BP are up and downstream which is serving it well with such low oil prices.
Ved and most other oilers are upstream.

Oil has continued its rollercoaster ride into the new year, with Brent crude falling below $35 a barrel for the first time in 11 years.

Oil is BP's business.

What percentage of Vedanta's business is Oil?

Hence the incomparability!

Big fan of vedanta though.

Obviously the oil part fanghorn(nothing more) there comparison graph has been quite consistent the last few years till October 2015 must have been withdrawal of dividend. I always feel and have seen this a few times though government😉 stocks seem well protected.dge,ba,Lloy fingers in pie come to mind

Maybe a back-test on the chart? 260p looks a good entry with a tight stop (like 250p)

God nows what the brothers make of their share price when sitting in their Hill Street HQ. Will they just take this private and stuff investors or do they have enough pride and ego to see this one through? My reading on the boys is that they will do the former at £3 a share.
